We started our Great Loop Journey in Ft Myers in June of 2021 on our 1998 Carver 500 called "Mahalo".
But then we had to wait for the COVID to pass and Canada to open fully to continue. This is the continuation of our Loop which started in July of 2023.

I think you use an IPad for navigation. I have heard that the iPad needs to be cellular capable in order to work properly but the cellular chip is not needed. Do you know if this is correct?

We use a Samsung tablet with WiFi. We have Starlink that is always on for highspeed Internet. So cellular is not needed. As a side note, many areas of the loop do not have cellular service.
