Nice trivia. FYI, in the Green Hornet episode “The Preying Mantis”, when Mako is fighting Lee, the fight stunt double for Mako is Lee student and friend Dan Inosanto. He’s uncredited him but on IMDB under his name, it’s mentioned. He’s still around.
Painting the police cruisers red wasn't for the benefit of the TV audience. Like they said they were recording in monochrome so the red cruisers were so the public on location didn't confuse them with real police cars.
