Hey there wondering what that 3 pin connector by the crankshaft is? Looks like a crankshaft position sensor but I was told carbureted engines do not have them?
I have the same motor it started vibration at idle runs good other than that ive thrown 2000 dollars and cant get it fixed last shop took 500 and said its its normal its like a bad miss but watching this video its not normal
@@hotheadzmarine it's got a new harmonic balancer new heads carb rebuild. Then a band new carb. new cap rotor plugs. And wires 2 sets to be sure new fuel pump new everything I've thrown 5k at it still has bad vibration at idle will run top speed all day but the vibration motor shakes like a miss but timing dead on new distributor good oil pressure and still shanks with the drive off. I'm lost been working on this thing for 2 years chasing this bad vibration at idle. Wish yall were close to me every marine shop around me are as dirty as they come all have a bad reputation and 2 have rip me off so far

Correct but it I'm sure it came with his engine when he purchased it. Doesn't affect anything when not used
Do you have to pull motor to do crank seal?
Rear seal and or oil pan seal yes.

No just pull bottom pulley and harmonic balancer
How did u fix the leak ?
Removed oil.pan, replaced improperly installed oil pan gasket and applied silicone to specified OEM locations.
@@hotheadzmarine Did you get a after market oil pan gasket or just went with the OEM gasket?

Maybe you e got a bent connecting rod. Did it ever get water in the cylinders? Exhaust system is ok and been checked thoroughly?

what kinda fram filter was that?
I dont know. The customer had installed it when he did his own engine swap.
