I always felt so bad for this poor girl. Despite being built to destroy Jenny and serve her evil dad/master, Melody just wanted to live a normal life and be with Brad. It’s too bad the show was cancelled. She definitely deserved better.
She wasnt built to destroy jenny, its possible she was upgraded to destroy jenny after dr locus and jenny first fight but remember dr locus didnt even know who jenny was before their first fight. She was probably made to just he an assistant or company. Let's not forget that dr locus didnt turn even until AFTER seeing what Jenny can do and what she could do for him.

I never clicked that Melody had an exoskin but thinking about it after this video she totally does. Which is good because her robot body is absolutely terrifying. I'm surprised her reveal "I'M NORMAL!!!" made it past the censors because it's so horrific.
I honestly felt bad for her after she did that and then started crying.
That scene legit horrified me as a kid. This episode left me feeling both scared and sad.
Censors don't censor things for horror. Only gore and sexual content/implication.

i think Melody would come back for revenge, she would be upset on how Jenny treated her. this could go two ways. on one hand, Melody would be so blinded by rage and resentment, that she would see that she had become what Jenny had accused of, being evil. feeling regret, she flies off this time Jenny follows her to try to make peace with her. they talk and eventually forgives each other, and it would show a message on not judging people by how they look, or how they were brought up. but on the other hand, Melody's father returns as the main villain and tries to get Melody to fight Jenny, they do fight but Melody comes to a realization that she and Jenny are not so different and stands up to her father. and both her and Jenny defeat him, and the episode would end with Melody leaving for one of those self discovery journeys to find her place in the world other than being a weapon. it could go those ways.
I see her eventually showing up on an episode where Brad is in severe danger. Maybe she is secretly in the shadows protecting him whenever he needs it and he (being Brad) is completely oblivious. Maybe eventually Jenny notices though. Idk.
I miss Melody. Her and Brad would’ve made a terrific couple through out the series

Melody Locus is the robot daughter of Dr. Locus. She first appears in Bradventure, where she develops a crush on Brad. She returns a second time, running away from her father, in No Harmony with Melody. She is voiced by Sandy Fox.Melody has an exo-skin that gives her the appearance of a pretty normal girl with light blonde hair in two drooping pigtails and large blue eyes. She wears a green and blue dress and black flats. When Jenny provokes her, she unveils her true self, a large spiny robot with an ugly and horrific appearance. Her true form terrifies everyone in Tremorton, including Brad.Melody appears to be a shy and caring person who just wants to be a normal robot girl (like Jenny). However, when provoked, she has a nasty temper, and unleashes her frightening and monstrous-looking robotic self.Dr. Locus is Melody's creator and father. In Bradventure, he tries to steal Jenny's data in order to make Melody just as powerful and advanced. Melody is upset with her father and highly disapproves of his evil schemes, running away from him in No Harmony with Melody so she could spend time with her crush, Brad.Melody developed a crush on Brad from the moment she met him in Bradventure. She returned to see him in No Harmony with Melody, and for a day, they went on a date in Tremorton, becoming rather close, as Brad returned her feelings. They talk and hang out, and Melody kissed him once. However, when Melody became enraged while fighting with Jenny and revealed her true terrifying and vicious robot form hidden beneath her pretty exo-skin, Brad became terrified of her. Upon realizing how frightening she is to everyone, Melody tearfully states that she does not belong in Tremorton, and flies away. She was never seen again in the series.Jenny was suspicious of Melody spending so much time with Brad, fearing for his safety, and tried convince him that Melody is evil because she is a robot created by Dr. Locus. Jenny provoked her, making Melody snap with uncontrolled rage and transform into her true monstrous robot form. After conceding to the fact that she is feared by everyone, including Brad, Melody leaves, never to be seen again. Jenny discovers that although Melody was created to be a monstrous villain by Dr. Locus, she never really wanted to be evil, and felt sorry for her.
I must admit, I too was saddened that Melody wasn't seen much like Misty. Keep in mind when she returned back she stated the only reason she left her father was that she could live life like a normal teenager. Not to mentioned she was her father's least important PROJECT & didn't even know he was gone. In addition a lot of folks were pretty MAD at Jenny for her O.O.C. behavior in Melodies second episode. Despite the fact the Brad told her ahead of time that she wasn't in conjunction with her father, Jenny still found it hard to listen to reason & let her jealousy get the better of her instead of attempting to listen to reason and let Melody prove that she too can good & normal just as her thus avoiding to get into a fight with her. Not to mention she already had someone else to hang out with & that was Sheldon Lee but apparently that just wasn't good enough for her & she's being just plain PICKY when it comes to boys. If she's going to these great lengths just to prove Melodies EVIL like her father just so she can hang with Brad & NOT Sheldon, Don't you think that' being a bit SELFISH of her?
I really liked MLAATR, but I really hated Jenny in that episode, she didn't even give Melody a chance to prove her good, and that was because of her absurd jealousy

Poor thing, Moral of the story don't judge a book by its cover, nor it's exo-skeleton. You judge them for they actually are as a person& actions.
I wasn't horrified by Melody's true form, but it did make me feel sorry for her. It must be hard when your true appearance terrifies people.
Last time I was this early, Jenny was still steam-powered.

Well, seeing as melody doesn’t really think she is cared for or loved, I think brad would start looking for her, both as someone who really wants to see her again, and as a way to show that he is growing up, taking this adventure seriously as someone’s life and happiness is on the line. He wouldn’t tell Jenny but she’s smart, she could figure out why he’s gone, and it wouldn’t be a day thing, Jenny would have started to worry after a week and gathered supplies, medical, survival, food for when she found brad in case he was hurt and starving after a month of being missing. Buuuut since Wakemen knows how much Jenny cares for brad, more than Jenny realizes she does. That and that boy has nearly gotten himself killed loyally standing by Jenny, she gave him one or two tools to use in his quest to find the bot that has all of Jennys’ specs and the man who stole them to do it. Which Jenny can track from the recovery beacons in the tools. But, Brad will have eventually lost one of the tools and or the damage to them from close calls and harm received from looking for a bot that doesn’t want to be found in places hard to get to by normal means would leave scars on Brad, and the traversal over the month would have greatly enhanced his physique, by the time Jenny finds him, he will be pretty lean and so close to discovering where Melody really is. Since Brad did what he could to keep from being followed by Jenny because he knew either she would try to take him home or try to help him, this time was personal and the fact that she hurt melody, and that melody came super close to killing her, it was a conflicting matter of wanting to save melody, and protect Jenny. They start fighting, and not just some bickering like they typically do, this is full on angry fighting. Brads angry because he wanted to protect Jenny and Jennys’ angry because she didn’t know what would happen if she lost Brad, but because they are both still so new to such genuine feelings, they have a hard time articulating it exactly so as they get into yelling at each other, they both start to tear up, they don’t like feeling this kind of hostility towards their longest lived best friends and each are starting to piece together that people who don’t... look, they’ve known and fought along side each other as the closest of confidants for years, of course they are starting to develop feelings of mutual affection and love for each other, those who haven’t don’t fight like this. Scouring the world so desperately to find him, basically turning off all her alert systems and in-hesitantly looking for brad to the point where Jenny is operating on tunnel vision, and Brad risking life and limb just so she wouldn’t get hurt trying to save the very person who did so out of anger. So this mission would become a joint operation, not to find a lost love, but to rescue a person who needs real friends to guide them to a better life, and one of the first things that needs to happen is for Jenny to say she’s sorry, so that one teenaged robot can help another on that journey... With her new boyfriend:3

No Harmony with Melody is the biggest "What the Hell, Hero!?" Moment I've ever known.
First, Dr. Locust isn't really much of a rival to Dr. Wakeman; the only time we see them together is in "Turncoats," and we see no indication of a longstanding competition between them. Throughout the series, Mrs. Wakeman's main rival was Dr. Mogg. And I think the black "bow tie" on Melody's outfit is actually supposed to be a collar, but I can't say for sure.
Second, I actually think there's a great moral lesson to be learned from Melody's character that we also see from the aliens in "Stage Fright," which is that people aren't always who they appear to be. Those that we think are good people can be completely rotten in reality, and those we think are bad people can actually have some of the best moral character. We got to see one side of the coin with Melody, and both sides in "Stage Fright."
Third, I would love to see you do characterization videos for all the main characters (besides Jenny, which you've already done), as well as some of the minor characters and primary villains as well. I'd especially love to see one on Vega.

I always hoped her and Jenny become friends. Especially now that her relationship with Misty ended.
Jenny wasn't just jealous. I think the jealousy merely blinded her, making it easy for misunderstanding and suspicion to strike.
Jenny didn't mean to hurt someone who's innocent, if you catch my drift.
Jenny thought she was up against a villain, but Melody turned out to be a good bean.

And I also know that jealousy is a very terrible thing, it can consume common sense. At such moments, a person does not want to figure out who is right and who is wrong. Why bother to figure it out if at such moments a person has only one thing - to take revenge?
From how it sounds, Melody's got a pretty good character written for her. And if they decide to use her in the reboot, I don't want that to change.
I love the title of No Harmony w/ Melody because my music teacher taught me that these are the two components of songs
Years ago, in a fanfic I thankfully made, I put Melody in the cast of characters for the "A Midsummer Night's Dream" parody.
Her role was similar to Fairy Queen Titania, as in getting mixed up in the love potion & poison mix up, in her case (under the love potion affects) she falls for the fanfic's version of Bottom, Don Prima, who got a moose head stuck to him (long story).😅

@David Alexander I don't think there's an exact date (If there is, I don't know about it. I don't follow the channel nor keep up with it.). The fan reboot has been in the works for a few years now and has only recently gotten a rough draft animatic of the first episode. Even then everything in it isn't set in stone. What do I think should happen to Melody?
I think the next time we see her she’s solitude and traumatised. Still good in her heart but believes she should be as far from anyone as possible. Though it’s boring, she shouldn’t become a villain - that’s kindof a tired trope. I think she should be the protagonist in a little mini-series where she tries to find herself while being secluded. After a while she realises that nothing is making her as happy as when she had a connection with Brad. She realises she’s a lot more human than she thought. After that… idk. I just want her to be happy.
my idea for a future episode is jenny finding melody in a forest somewhere in tremerton, and her apologizing for how she acted to her. then jenny apologizes to brad for being jealous, the three would then make up and become friends.
Melody kind of remind me of Dani Phantom
Both are created by their creator (Dani to Vlad, Melody to Dr. Locus)
Maybe Melody will redeemed herself by turn on her father, joined Jenny, and Brad against him, stopping him for good
Melody didn't need to redeem herself because she didn't do anything wrong. Also she left her dad.

I would have liked to have seen more of this character. Melody is a lot like Vega. Both are daughter of a villain yet neither of them are evil and are actually very nice. I wanted to see Jenny apologize to Melody and form a friendship with her.
You know, for some reason, I thought she blew up or something. Actually blew up, in a self sacrifice kinda way like the original clone of Superman, how Bizarro typically goes out, or the Iron Giant.
It’s kinda interesting to realize that Melody is Jenny’s exoskin done right. I guess that’s one advantage that Dr. Locus has over Ms. Wakeman.
Wow, that's really depressing. If I saw this show as a kid I would have probably wondered what happened to her until I heard she actually never reappeared.

Sometimes I wish I could talk to Rob Renzetti about Melody! I wanted to tell him that it's my sister's name except My Melody has an ie at the end instead of a y! And I wish he would be able to update the new series of My Life as a teenage robot when Melody comes back to her town because of their new friend who was a human girl who sometimes felt the same way as Jenny did because everyone was treating her like she's an outsider which is why she identified with Jenny! And in one of the episodes the young girl was about to find Melody no matter how long or hard it takes! And no matter what the odds she didn't want to give up hope until she finds her! But then as she reached the ends of the Earth that's when she found Melody only she was dressed differently! I could picture Melody dressed up in a green dress that's almost like Tinkerbell's only it had sleeves that are shorter and she was wearing a headband around her head! And also at the end of that episode Jenny and Melody made amends when they were about to fight an enemy that's much worse than the cluster ever was! Also Melody was about to come out of her shell and she was about to do whatever it takes to protect everyone everywhere anytime! I love Melody as well as I love Jenny and I would give anything for Melody and Jenny to make amends with each other! Sometimes to me Melody is like a robotic version of me though she has my sister's name! She was such a sweetheart to everybody sometimes especially to Brad! I wonder if Melody ever saw Jenny as a sister sometimes because I know what it's like to have somebody who was like a sibling and I do have a real sister!

My guess is that Jenny and melody become friends and Jenny apologizes for how she acted
A few days ago I have made a fanfic of the aftermath of no harmony for melody (It’s part 2 of the episode.) I wrote it in Spanish. I hate how Nickelodeon cancelled the show. I felt like the episode was incompleted.
EDIT: It took me 2 weeks to finish it and I’m done with it.

Poor Melody Locus. Her evil father Dr. Locus gives her upgrades by stealing XJ-9/Jenny's powers and weapon skills.
And, Melody never see her beloved ex-boyfriend Brad Carbunkle of her hideous robot form by her evil father.
Clone wars got a season 7 several years after season 6. Who knows?
Melody reminds me of Maria from Sonic Adventure 2.

This chapter was superb! May I ask: why did some of the episodes had really odd color palettes (even for Jenny?) Thanks.
It was based on lighting in the scenes. When a scene got darker, everything changed color to emphasize this.

Sometimes I can picture Jenny and Melody fighting against a new evil army from outer space and both Melody and Jenny found it in their hearts to forgive each other I'll bet that would make a wonderful episode for My Life as a teenage Robot!

And think I don’t about Jenny is really jealous to melody and she think she evil not good. @@djpon7969 Jenny can't be blamed too much for two reasons. The first reason is that after her first meeting with Dr. Locus she had not the most pleasant memories. And the second reason is that jealousy is a very terrible thing, it can blind and consume common sense. Brad didn’t understand that Jenny believes her eyes, and not anyone’s words (this also applies to him), and at such moments there is no need to try to convince her of anything, this will only make things worse. Because when a person is blinded and his common sense is consumed by jealousy, he does not want to listen to anyone and figure out who is really right and who is wrong. Why bother to figure it out if at such moments a person wants only one thing - revenge? By the way, when he tried to convince Jenny, but she didn’t want to hear anything, she seemed to be saying to him, “How do you know? Are you a psychic? No. So, shut up. I believe my eyes, not anyone’s words, and you are no exception". Therefore, no matter how strange it may sound and let them tell me that I was wrong, but on Brad’s part to convince Jenny that she was wrong was useless and stupid, because in the end everything got worse

Jenny was not jealous, she was trying to protect Brad from Melody because her father is evil so she thought she was too. Also, Jenny had plans to go out with Brad but he flaked on it last second aftershe did something with Tuck.
