It might be difficult if you have lots of snow but you could try trimming all the stems to the ground (about 1-3" tall), then put about 6-12" of leaf mulch over them, and better yet, also put a plastic tent over them (start by making a chicken wire cloche and clip a plastic bag over it). Google it and you'll find lots of DIY videos
I'm not 100% sure. I've always had best luck taking cuttings that did not have a flower bud already starting. Try it and see. If it works, let me know!
