I got my girlfriend a purple Popples toy for her birthday when we first moved in together. This was her favorite toy as a child and she'd always regretted leaving it behind when she went into foster care. It was a powerful moment and I can't tell you how many tears she cried that day! I felt like I'd returned something precious, a part of her she'd thought was lost to time. We've been married for 8 years now and, despite moving a number of times since, that Popple has stayed with us. ( And I still get her a toy every year for her birthday!)😊

My favorite find at the flea market was actually found by my wife. Someone was selling all of the posters from an abandoned movie theater. There were hundreds of posters just stacked on tables. My wife pulled out an original Goonies B-style. That's not the common one they still reprint today. It's the one with the ripped map in front and the kids standing on a bluff. The poster sells for $1,500. They were selling poster $10 each or 3 for $20. It hangs in the center of my toy cave.

When I was young, my parents were sent to Desert Storm and I was shipped to my grandparents place in Iowa. My grandfather was an avid ERTL collector. Being so he would bring me to every toy show he went to, or farming event that would have ERTL toys. My best memory was in school there, we took a trip to the ERTL factory and I my grandma sent me with a check to buy my first farm set with vehicles, livestock, and vehicles.
I still have the set to this day!

I am an Avengers Fan, my favorite superhero is Captain America. He was the first Avenger of the Avengers, and I love his characters story of how he became Captain America. But as a kid we never got any of the toys we wanted, we were so poor. But now I am a senior citizen, almost 64 years of age I have that chance to connect with the toys I wished I had. Your videos Anthony give me that joy, and that understanding it’s never too late to have toys.

In the early 90's I used to take my nephew to the Syracuse NY toy show which happened twice a year. I was searching for a Yoda Brown Snake on an Empire card and I finally found him mint on a near mint card, clear mint bubble. A little pricey for the time, but I got him anyways.

G'day from Australia everyone. Firstly a big thank you to Anthony and his family for providing such wonderful content. I know that I am one of many that look forward to each and every video that you share with us, your 'virtual family'.
I am an older fan at 64 of almost everything toy wise. AND I freely admit that I have never lost my childlike joy at receiving a new toy...I mean an item for my collection.... ok ok a toy I display and occasionally play with. Just don't tell anyone lol!!!
There are many out there that would be more deserving than I to win this wonderful gift I am sure. I just find collecting helps in dealing with certain mental health issues that I and many others suffer. It is a means of escape for me at times when I need support. Blessings to all.

My holy grail item is a super minty Snarf from the original toy line. I loved so many cartoons from the 80s, but Thundercats definitely has a special place, my mom was a single mom and met my Dad when I was like 5/6, and it's the first thing we bonded over. We'd wake up and he'd be getting ready for work and I'd be sitting there and we'd watch thundercats, I started calling him Dad pretty soon after that. Snarf was always my favorite

They came of age begining in the 90's. Even the oldest of the millenials was only 5 in 85, but they pretend as though they lived it "John Hughes style." Yea....I'm a grumpy getting to be old fart.

ALWAYS love getting the alert that you have a new video available! I've recently been getting back into collecting when time and money allows and have split the focus on toys that I didn't have when I was a kid and completing the toys that were recently rediscovered in a storage shed at my Mom's, that were presumed lost to time, after she passed away. IF there was ever to be a toy I would love to find at a toy show or flea market or pop up sale, it would probably be an undamaged and respectably clean Mattel Rodan with box and paperwork. Anyway, love your videos and look forward to seeing many more! So from Bowling Green, Ohio take care and good hunting! 😊

I was able to get a huge collection from someone that was selling on Marketplace on Facebook. Originally he wanted $100 as he had a couple of pics of what he was selling. I got him down to $75 and when I got to his house to pick the stuff up there was 8 boxes full of collectables from Neon Genesis Evangelion, Spawn, tons of Iron Man collectables, and Wonder Women collectables. There was other collectables as well some still in boxes some not. But from that day I have been collecting and have a massive room full of old and current toys. Years before I started collecting toys I picked up a bag of lose figures from garage sell because it was free. I threw it in the garage and forgot bout it till several years later when I started collecting. When I found the bag I immediately started inventoring it and found an original muscle mutt with weapons in there!!!

I found TMNT Muckman about 12 years ago at a local toy show. The vendor didn't care at all about him and I got a great deal. The deal wasn't the big part, it was finding a figure that I loved as a kid and adding it to my collection. I need Joe Eybeball to complete it though! So the hunt continues.

Masters of the Universe was and still is my all-time favorite cartoon. Don't have much for toy shows in Montana so my sourcing consits of yard/estate sales. My dream is to walk up to a garage sale and find a massive new in the box collection of MOTU (keep dreaming right). I absolutely love the MOTU box art. As far-fetched as that sounds usually when I really want to find something it somehow presents itself. Been a long time viewer....keep it up my man!!

Years later I still collect figures from the 80s and 90s as they are way before my time. 24 yrs old now!

Great video Anthony! My favorite find was a 1972 Kenner Blythe doll with working pull cord that changes her eyes to different colors. Bought it for super cheap and sold it for $1,050. That was 2 days before my hot water heater went out and I had to buy a new one. The cost of the hot water heater with installation was $1,050. I didn't want to sell it, but it was a necessity to do so at that time. Thanks!

This happened back in early 2020 before the world turned upside down, I was attending the Penrith Collector Con and on that day it was a dream come true, but nothing prepared me for finding my holy grail. A loose Scratch figure from the TMNT line no marks but a bit dirty hidden in a random box of figures. I picked it up for just $5 and it was incredibly hard to contain my excitement, I was shaking with joy the entire time, I ended up buying the rest of the figures in the box which had a random assortment no standouts.
To this day it's my ultimate grail and story in this amazing hobby.

I do definitely the newer ? ultimate 7 scratch figure, even though i usually stick to playmates tmnt.

You got me hooked on hunting for the toys/figures I couldn't keep as a kid. It's been so much fun going out to any show or store I can find. Appreciate you keeping the hunt alive! The best haul I got at a toy show was a mighty max haul; 2 mini heads, shark, battle warrior strikes fang figure, dragon lair and mini figs for $30. (it was like a firesale)

I started watching your channels a couple months ago and really enjoy seeing all of the toys from my youth. This year I have made it my quest to find any mad ball items at yardsales, no luck so far but i still have a couple months to go. If I had to choose a grail to find it would be the soccer ball from mad balls. I had forgotten how cool these toys are! What’s even cooler is my son has now taken an interest in finding one too.

I’ve really been enjoying this channel, came across it just a few weeks ago and have been picking through the content daily since!
My favorite find happened last summer. I was a at a local flea market style event that takes place twice a year in my area. Secured a lot of 11 12inch early 2000’s GI Joes in box purchased them for $10 a figure after asking to buy all of them. It’s not that they were very rare, but so I had most of them as a kid and could not walk away from the nostalgia after seeing them still in the box!

I just went to my first vintage toy show, and one of the coolest things I saw there was the endor micro machines play set that I had as a kid. Seeing something I spend so many hours with as a child in the box brand new was pretty special. I had a really great conversation with the gentleman running booth as well. I am going to try and go to at least one toy show a year because it was such a good time!

My favorite toy show find was a Sears brand battery operated auto transport truck from the 1970's. It is programmed by pushing the buttons on the roof of the truck to tell it what direction to go. It would haul up to 14 matchbox or hot wheels sized cars. It's kind of a cheesy toy but I had one as a kid and when I found it at the toy show all they memories came flooding back.

Hey, great video! My best find was actually this past Great Ohio Toy Show, I found a TMNT Robotic Rocksteady, with it's Shoulder Cannons, and 2 of the 3 accessories for only 15 dollars in 1 of the smaller buildings. Same booth had several other good deals but that was definitely my best. I think it was Toy Vomit, from Lexington.

You are a great collector, not in what you collect, but how you collect. You are fair and honest. My favorite toy show find was probably just some of the MOTU figures that I found in someone’s bins. I don’t think they were worth a lot, but to hold them again, after like 30 years, it just warmed me up inside.
Years later, I would play MOTU and Barbie with my daughter. I came into her room one time, and she had made a parade with Barbie and Skeletor. 😂

Hey Froggy, I started collecting Star Wars vintage figurines after I started watching your show. I am from the UK and this year managed to get to 2 toy shows already, involved my son who is only 2 but massive fan of Thomas The Tank Engine, and at the second toy show we went I managed to grab him a bunch of old Thomas train sets. Super happy for him.
Anyway I got now 25 loose and some graded figurines of the Star Wars Kenner line, a Boxed Millennium Falcon, some TMNT figurines.
What I would like to get one day is probably a vintage Knight Rider in the box, as it was my favourite show when I was a kid.
All the best on your own toy show, whish I could get there:))

Hey man! I follow all your videos and a huge fan. I'm also a vintage Star Wars collector as well, with also buying and selling in a local antique mall, which happens to one of the largest in western Canada. I'm from Edmonton, Alberta and have collected most of my life. My epic grail find happened 2 years ago, which I found not one, but 2 sears exclusives 7 packs ( cdn only). I kept one and sold the other. ( this is the one with the vacu sealed figures). Anyways, I won't take anymore of your time as I'm sure you get tons of mail.
Have an awesome evening and chat soon!

My favorite toy show find was a beat up red shirt muscle mutt that was apparently owned by the seller for roughly 15 years. The guy had no idea how much it was worth and he demanded that I purchase it for only 20 bucks. I tried and tried to offer him more money but he refused. He said “you’re passionate about the item that’s more than I could ever receive in money”. Sticks with me to this day. And he is the centerpiece of my small but mighty collection.
I would absolutely love to get my hands on some mad balls but the toy shows around me aren’t very productive and I rarely encounter anything worth purchasing.
