Very cool! If I need a walking foot, I’ll definitely try this one! I also have a model 27 treadle which is quickly becoming my favorite machine for regular sewing. Most of what I make is historical fashion though. I do love your videos that feature Grandma. It helps me learn more about mine; her name is Octavia. 💗
Very helpful video. Thank you. I have 2 vintage singers (201k and 401g) and I'm hoping to start quilting. Good to know that the modern walking feet will do the job. I thought I might have to source a penguin style foot which I think are not only rare but pricey. 🙄
I have a the walking foot from the feather weight shop and it fits my singer 15k, 1934 15-91, 221 and my 201-2 and 222 it’s pretty affordable and moves just like the penguin would have.
Red eye refers to the name of the decals on a Singer 66. Parts for the 66 are readily available. Try www.vintagesingerparts.com/collections/singer-model-66/products/low-shank-wide-straight-stitch-foot-fits-singer-models-15-27-28-66-99-201-221 or www.singeronline.com/ststfo6.html
@@amandaforeman2626 Try oldsingershop.com/ they have back clamps in sometimes. Or eBay. it might be worth emailing vintagesingerparts.com and singeronline.com too - you never know, they may have some in stock. Or you could convert it to a side clamp, that way you can use more feet: growyourownclothes.com/2016/10/02/converting-a-singer-66-back-clamp-to-side-clamp/
As far as I know, all the Singer 99 models were side clamping low shank machines, so yes a generic walking foot should work in theory. However, I haven't tried my walking foot on any of my 99s yet. If you can give me a couple of days, I'll test the foot I have on my Singer 99 and let you know.

Will it work on a 1929 Singer Class 99?
