In this week's episode, Garupa Pico decides to let all girls live and ends up killing the viewer instead with how cute Sayo and Hina's relationship is.
It's like the Isabelle reveal trailer for Smash Ultimate, no one was harmed at all, except maybe the viewer's mind and heart, and then the killings resumed with Ken killing Little Mac and Incineroar killing Ken.
Uhh, hell no? Hina is a totally sweet little sister, but Sayo's a complete b*tch to her out of pure jealousy. The core conflict of her character is basically she trying to get over it.

There was nothing she could do that Hina couldn't do better, no matter how long she spent practicing or how much of herself she put into it. When Hina picked up a guitar, after Sayo had spent ages trying to convince herself it was the one thing she could do that Hina wasn't better at, Sayo avoided listening to her music as long as possible. But eventually she couldn't help it. And--shocker--it turned out that Hina was better than her with her guitar. So once again, this thing that she's invested huge amounts of time and effort into, this thing that she's poured her entire soul into, this thing she's alienated and intimidated other people to get good at--her sister surpasses her at it in a matter of _minutes._ With _no effort._ And despite her lack of empathy, because she's got a bubbly personality and uses cute words, people still like her. Every sacrifice Sayo had to make to get where she is seems totally pointless, in light of that, because at the end of the day she will never be as good as her sister at anything. And Hina's not even _trying_ to one-up her. It's not out of spite. There's no rivalry. There's no _drive._ Hina just wants to do the things her sister does. When she talks about Hina 'taking things away from her,' that is what she means. Every time Hina does this (and it's implied that this has happened many times before we meet the twins), Sayo's ego is shattered. We see in the cooking story that she can't even fuckin Cook, anymore, without receiving precise instructions first. She's grown _that_ insecure about fucking up what she's doing. It's played for laughs, but I've been there; it's a really shitty feeling. But yes, her character arc is about her learning to let go of that feeling of insignificance and pointlessness. Hina's arc, however, is just as important to their relationship, although it's not been focused on as much. Hina needs to learn to empathize with people. Her time with Aya especially is helping her with that. She's begun to see what she's doing to her sister (and again I feel the need to emphasize that I'm not saying that there's any ill will on her part; she genuinely did not realize what effect this was having on Sayo). That, as much as Sayo's slow-burning realization that her sister doesn't deserve to bear the brunt of her fuckin Borderline-clinical depression at this point Is central to their arc. TBH I didn't realize Hina and Sayo were twins until I watched S2 when the school festival was going on and realizing that Hina was a student council prsident which made me realize that both of them are third years thus came to the conclusion that they are Twins. Wholesome episode overall especially the Ending

i know nobody asked for this, but this is why Hina said “at least she’s gotten more laid back” In the Roselia band story, Sayo joined the band to beat Hina and to be in Future World Fes with Yukina. Sayo had Hina shut off her life at that time, she’s always alone and when Hina enters the room, she forces Hina to get out of her room. Also explains why they are in different schools. She let Hina in her life again after saying her reason on why she joined Roselia. P.S. hopefully i ended the sayohina shippers.
