- My first ever Tier list maker video that I uploaded
Today we are looking at all the 5 star welfare operator that
are currently available on EN.
I hope it is helpful for you to decide who to build if you are interested in one of these.
All long the way I learnt a lot about these and there are not many people out there that play so many times with welfare operator like me.
So I thought it might be a good idea if I share my experiences and opinions with you guys
anyway this was actually not my Idea...

Absinthe if i did not have Eiya, Ceobe E2 as well I would use her way more still she never disappointed me.
I've had a ton of fun with Bibeak honestly. I really like Bison's talent and skill, great for supporting duelist and arts guards and it allows you to break the Faust's targeting in abandoned armory (I think that's the map) so you can safely deploy other ops to finish him off. I actually dig Tuye, built her to E1 L60 SL7 as soon as I got her to max pot. She's amazing for when you don't need a ton of constant healing but have huge damage spikes. She's great for supporting Thorns, Mountain or Blaze and Surtr with the huge bursts from her S2. If you use her in tandem with another medic, your ops are basically immortal though you will rarely need that much healing.
My favorite is by far Folinic (yes, I am biased here...) followed by Bibeak and Scene. And while Folinic is known for her S2, and it is fun to use it, I actually think her better skill is S1. Although it needs the mastery to become really good, as the second row of Range increase is locked behind M1. At M3, it is +80% ATK, +2 rows of Range and an uptime of 40 seconds for onlx 30 sp, and that is huge in my opinion. Also, her having Status resist is nice, while taking only half the damage from environmental sources is a bonus, but nothing you can regilarly utilize.
Design wise I like Ceylon, I just wish her S1 gave resist.

I’m sure he meant AoE guard. It may be a crucial archetype that does 3-block and DPS, so it was worth mentioning that Savage was the only one.
Don’t forget folinic skill 1 let’s her have expanded range like ansel. That’s actually huge sometimes. I know her whole gimmick is her skill two being able to heal and deal arts damage, but the skill 1 is worth not forgetting about.
The Silence mechanic has been killed off because of Lappland I'm pretty sure. Every operator that has access to it but her is fine either he can't apply it reliably or is a fast redeploy. Lappland can perma silence her targets which nullifies the threat of a lot of enemies it's pretty broken, which has led to more and more enemies becoming silence immune. That leaves Lappland as one of the most nerfed characters in Arknights over the years.
sounds right to me. enemies that aren't immune to silence just make Lappland way too good. exploding spiders, ice spiders, defense crushers, she just makes any of those not a problem in at least one lane. this is why i kinda like the CC risks on dailies that make them immune to silence, then i have to do something smarter lol
Snowsant has a niche that no other Puller can uh, pull off (except Gladiia S3). She can pull an _infinite number_ of enemies into a hole. So if you use Bind, sleep, stun or slow to clump a large group of enemies near a target square, Snowsant can pull them all into a hole.
Fairly niche, but Rope and Gladiia S2 top out at 2 targets, and Cliffheart S2 tops out at 3.
Dur’nar is just so underrated and good. She’s come in so clutch on so many of cesith’s no gacha challenges. I just love the concept of an aoe arts defender.

@@Cesith Yeah, her AOE arts damage allows you to emergency kill squishy mobs to prevent leaks on maps where leaks and enemies rushing you is a problem. Also, it’s worth pointing out that she has 5 resistance. For a defender that’s huge. Increases her survivability by more than you’d think. The fact that you can’t get Matterhorn without gacha, means having a cheap defender with res is a huge boon.
Dur'nar helped me in most CC Beta rotation stages. But now she is mostly replaced by Broca in my squad.

I think this is video was so nice to watch because we can actually know about which welfare operators are worth to raise and not to forget that you have a no-gacha account which makes their perfomance kinda better in some situations. I really would like more tier lists like that :)
i started playing Arknights around Twilight of Wolumonde, and i barely managed to get myself a Folinic. Ever since, i used her in almost every stage due to her design, voice and story in TW. She may be bad, and im aware of that, but she's one of my main 2 medics alongisde Ptilopsis
Fun fact, I used Robin to beat risk 29 in CC4, her mines are super useful
How about using an entire rng ability based team? I think it would be interesting.

Defender: Gummy
Ranged DPS: W (s2), Aak (s1)
Ranged Arts: Tomimi (s2), Click (s2)
Melee DPS: Conviction, Mr. Nothing (s2)
Misc: Ethan (s2)
For an RNG comp that seems feasible. Saga is the only DP-recovery vanguard with any RNG (her talent) so she's kinda necessary. Deepcolor and Nightmare were considered for Arts RNG but they're also kinda stinky to use, and Greythroat and May could work for drones instead.
Ceylon is decent if she's the only one wide range you have.
Otherwise you have a ptw 4 stars that is both better and cheaper. Or another 5 star that powercreeps her and is the best in her archetype.
if it were me I would place Amiya to SSS rank, she's like mashu from fgo, like every starter ship from kancolle/azur lane, or traveler from genshin, the fact that she has already been with us since the beginning is a huge plus point, and the fact that you can change her class to any class(not yet but soon) is insane
That last part isnt even mentioned by yostar and I use sideroca over guard amiya
@@hannya6552 I mean it's heavily implied that Amiya can do that (I'll visit this comment again in the future when she change her class again), also not to be rude but Guard Amiya talent can buff all allies when deployed, her skills deals true damage, and her normal attack is consider arts attack, so its pretty obvious gameplay wise Guard Amiya is far superior to Sideroca it's not even fair, but hey you do you if Sideroca is your waifu then go for it

Let's also keep in mind that Guard Amiya doesn't have a third skill. While her Caster form does.
Amiya's ability let you to progress the story, no other characters can do that

You forgot Snowsant could pull ALL the enemies in her range, literally ALL ENEMIES in her range

i think bibeak is inferior to ch'en, but because 5* is easier to build, i use bibeak almost everytime, she's very strong and the stun is very nice
also maybe do a waifu / husbando / furry operator tier list next time?
In my humble opinion though, I think FEater should be at least the same, if not, higher rank than Cliffheart. Although Cliffheart can do true damage and all, her damage is very unreliable (not that she is made to do damage anyway) and pullers overall is not as good as pushers especially when there are no pits around. I found myself used FEater much more especially in cc beta and some stall teams along side of Weedy. But overall, your tier list is good, keep up the content man!

I love tomimi, but….she sucks so hard. A caster is only useful because they can deal arts damage and can hit from a far range and maybe also flying enemies……tomimi can’t do ANY of that, and both of her skills do that, so you’re locked into either never activating her skills or accepting the horrible range.
Amiya still better than Absinthe because of the Skill 3 true damage that can kill bosses and elite enemies that has both high def and res. You haven't mentioned even once about her skill 3, that is one of the most powerfull skills in the game. I know that it has a big drawback but still worth pointing out.
Did you know that Catapult and Spot could be obtained as F2P Ops within the first couple of months of AK? Also, why not rank the 4*s and below? Aside from that, intriguing video from a different tangent!
I played since siesta and got Catapult during W banner.
I have trauma using bibaek after try high risk in CC#4. Before CC#4 she is fun to play especially in fungimist, but in CC#4 only got pain using bibaek
ok so this is my guess for the tier list before watching. scene is in SSS tier where she belongs and everyone else is somewhere else on the tier list. edit: i am writing this at the 12:23 mark. and I am very happy cesith made the right choice here. would have had to unsub if he didn't put her their
Sinthe if f-word amazing, since the day i got her i made the best to put her on the maximum, and it was so worth, now i have good casters, but i still use Sinthe, she hit like Truck-kun on a happy day, and shes the reason my amiya still not E2 yet, and now that i have Doggo caster amiya is only for the guard version, in the day that i to go deeper on the story
Pot 6 breeze is one of my proudest arknights moments
In the showcase tequila, the new welfare is kinda strong.
I use breeze to give resistance to my other medics on talulah stages.
Cliffheart vs Gladiia is harsh. Sure the 6 star is better for S1 use, or for general cc, but her S2 and S3 pulls are weird.
If you need someone to pull bunches of enemies that are very far away towards you in a single motion and then let them go, you will use her or Rope S2. Gladiia S2 and S3 have completely different uses compared to their S2.
Also speaking of Rope, Rope can grab enemies in the 4th tile where neither Cliffheart or Gladiia can reach.
It's different than pushers where Weedy just does everything Shaw and FEater do but better.
Bibeak is better then Ch'en because she won't spook me on Limited Banners

As a Folinic enjoyer, I'm disappointed.
However, as a Sideroca enjoyer, I'm quite happy.
Overall, great list, though I definitely think Ceylon and Folinic should swap places.

i mean, flamebringer might be mathematically pretty ok, but that doesnt change the fact that hes jobless.
just being technically good doesnt save you from being 100% irrelevant to the way people play the game.
his only really useful niche he has is if you got a blocktrain or some shit which most of the time you either dont or cant and even if you can there is little point to it bc you might as well use legit any aoe guard or aoe sniper or whatever and if you dont have enough targets for those to be relevant you are better off using a sniper or ST caster and if you dont have ranged tiles you can still use arene cutter utage mousse tequila la pluma savage lappland indra flint broca bibeak akafuyu you get the point

Its kinda unfair to people jumping into free op only account to still have Cuora & FEater qualify as a free op, considering you cant get them for free anymore
No gacha =/= free op only
with that logic, mint and flamebringer also can't qualify as free operator (since there's no mini event rerun yet)

Ch’en is definitely overrated.
Is she though? From what I've seen she's considered fairly average if not outright bad nowadays, especially in CN.
@@markopusic8258 Early on, she was really hyped, in my experience. Wasn’t aware people have gotten lukewarm on her, but that’s well-deserved!!

When you get the chance to pick a free 5*, Cesith, I think you should pick FEater since she’s the welfare unit you missed. Using any other operator apart from no gacha may be legal, but might throw off the no gacha gameplay feel, imho.
Still, your choice, and just letting you know I enjoy your content a lot. :)
