Because politics is farce, it's window dressing for bad company. A short-term strategy used by politicians to make their shortsighted political goals look more appealing to voters. The goal is to attract more people and more money, hopefully boosting the next general election period's bottom line.
The fact that Ed Balls wore a smirk while you reported the deaths and mutilation of thousands speaks volumes about his lack of humanity, and the fact that he sought to condemn your intellect underscores that.
His wife, Yvette Cooper is equally frightful, even though she’s been rightly challenging Suella (before her sacking)in Parliament. But not a whisper about atrocities in Gaza from her either.

As someone who joined the march on Saturday, these pro-Israelis are most definitely gaslighting. I saw no violence, no anti-semitism, just passionate people like myself peacefully chanting and supporting the cause.

Listen to the language they use...always following a pathetic attempt to sympathise with Palestine with the words 'but...' or 'however...'. Describing Palestinian deaths as a 'humanitarian crisis' and referring to Oct. 7th as a 'grotesque atrocity'.
I’ve noticed that the framing of the events never allow for supporting Palestinian safety on its own. It’s have to constantly be compared to an Israeli one.
Like even with the antisemitic discussions (which are important to call out), there is almost no discussion of the islamphobia that has been so normalized. The only person of these 4 who was there, on Saturday's march, was Owen yet the others think they know better. I was on the march and I know Owen is telling the truth. I did see 2 unacceptable placards but that was amongst many hundreds of placards calling for peace, a ceasefire, and justice for Palestinians. The march was huge. It stretched chockablock from Marble Arch to the other side of Lambeth Bridge. My part of the march only got as far as the bottom of Hyde Park from 12.30 to 3.15pm because of the sheer number of people in front of us, including all ethnicities, ages, women, men and children, on the march.
You are incredibly brave to go and speak to these fools. We need your voice and others like you so desperately. They were not ready for the reality check you were coming with. Thank you for speaking up for those who cannot. ✊🏽♥️
