Since watching Dimash from I am singer 2017, this performance was the first time I had seen him dance. I couldn’t stop watching it. Nice to see it again, He does moon walk at the end but the camera wasn’t close enough.

It is a studio version due to the pandemic, but sung live, in Kazakh, and the song is telling the destiny of Kazakh men who were deported to Russia (had to march 1000 miles, leaving family and old parents behind), to fight on the Russian side in WWI. The Kazakh songs are very peronal and important to Dimash, and if you want to get to know him better and how much his country means to him, you should give the Kazakh songs a try! Thank you!

Hi Bud, Awesome reaction, yeah Dimash has loved MJ since he was a young child and Dimash composed this as a tribute to his singing and his style, so if it took you back to MJ days then Dimash did his job. Couple of years ago a 'dear' gave Dimash a signed poster of MJ which she got when she went to an MJ concert, it was dated " 24th May 1994" that was the day Dimash was born, very kind of the lady to part with it and now one of Dimash's treasured posessions. In a recent interview Dimash was asked what kind of music he listened to and of course he listed classical, opera, Lara Fabian and a few Kazakh singers but said he still listens to MJ mostly !! 👍👍👌👌😎😎

As I understand it, it was even more precious than just a hand-out to a fan, as she had done some work for MJ and was given it by him personally, as a thank-you. Dimash would sleep with his little fingers in the holes of MJ cassettes as a very young child, his grandmother would try taking them off him but couldn't because he would get upset. At his concerts and especially in New York he said Michael Jackson for ever, the crowd went wild and he wears MJ t-shirt. Dimash is a massive fan.. ❤

Dimash learned to dance just for this song and continues to improve. FYI he did moonwalk towards the end of the video but the camera was too far back and didn't catch it well. There are a few other performances I've seen him moonwalk. He just loves that vibe. You know you can't box Dimash into one genre. He loves to experiment and will give you something new and surprising every single time. Thanks for the fun reaction and I look forward when his new "Be With Me" reaction drops tomorrow. You are such a joyful person! Your reactions are uplifting. Another cover you will enjoy is the Toni Braxton song "If I Never Breathe Again." It isn't as dynamic as most of the Dimash videos, but it is really beautiful and always makes me cry. His newest song, "Be With Me", is way different than any of his other songs and the MV is soon to be released. "Across Endless Dimensions" is a stunning video with a powerful ending. I have been playing a few of his concert videos during the day while painting. He has so many fantasic songs, many in his native language, and the stage productions are amazing. He is an exceptional human and is so full of creative energy.
Up until this, Dimash was not a dancer...by his own words he had to rehearse day and night to get these dance moves down but I have noticed of recent that he is better at it now.
