9:58 it does get absorbed, but only the literal explosion, remember can has 2 hitboxes, the can, and the explosion, when the can moves, the reticle is also active hitbox. If you get the explosion, it's an energy projectile like Snake's grenades, so it can be absorbed. Ie. The explosion from the trick shot can be absorbed, but the can itself/ reticule, cannot.
I think campy players arent as good which is why personally it feels like a lot of top players dont use them. i think theyre easier to pick up but have a lower practical skill cap, but i love them cause of when they land certain long range shots that shits not easy it takes real strategy to get somebody to walk into that. campy players are playing like 4d chess getting you to run into barrels across the map that you forgot existed cause its been sitting there for 10 minutes. they pull wild shit like that and i go nuts, you never see that on a swordfighter.
Dude I hate Duck Hunt. What do you even do against that? I cant think of anything except getting past the can and perfectly avoiding any follow up by Duck Hunt himself on reaction.
Joseph Franc learn how to play better zoners like mega man, palutena and Zelda. If your looking at getting through Him as a normal sword character or something like ness, get near him and never get far away. Use shield a lot and grab when ever duck hunt is on the ground. He’s a floaty character so you just gotta wait for him to get to the ground
@@jeremycherian3460 didnt look like he was reading him at all he just played his camping game and seemed to work out cause fow doesent know the matchup well. if he was reading ness he wouldnt have fallen for simple nairs and fairs from ness.
duck hunt for a while was considered bottom tier wasnt he? i think hes mainly strong against certain projectile characters like ness and samus because the gunman and can will just absorb like a full samus charge shot or a pk thunder and become a wall where his projectiles are beating yours. otherwise i dont think hes super strong against anything. you just have to be more strategic. i think most of the best players play very in your face characters/playstyles because when done right, they can be more powerful than zoners. personally i like zoners because even though they camp and can be countered, i think when the action does happen, they have much cooler combos. i go nuts every time part of a zoner's combo includes strategic, complicated, long range attack. Theyre hard to land so you dont see them often but when they do land i find that shit insane. its like when bestness sends a thunder around the entire map just to end up hitting himself into the opponent like it feels so top level
@@matthewtrebs9738 I agree it is really cool how these zoning types can execute these tactical strings together. But it is hard to get around the projectiles for Duck Hunt since they're so unpredictable and safe.

RamenMaid44 I only hate them because I can't beat them. No real hate or salt. Just whining lol.
Well, what else was he supposed to do, if he went offensive on Ness pf all characters Fow would have most likely win the set.
Campy players hate you
