Wow.. as a sound engineer and musician, I must say that this video is the best tribute for those people who work behind the scenes at live shows, concerts, conferences, etc. For many years I have been working on live shows, I used to get up around 4 am. and finish around 8 p.m. or later. No one knows that behind a great show are great passionate people sacrificing time ,leaving families behind, working hard to make a show looks and sounds great. It's all about be a great team. Nice video Kiko. Greeting from a Chilean who lives in New Zealand.
Check out the Canadian Broadcasting Networks production called Backstage Secrets they did on Rush's Snakes and Arrow tour, its like what Kiko did here but with the dial turned to infinity, 4.5 hours of well produced insights just like this. You would not even need to know who Rush is to appreciate it. Might be hard to find but theres six 10 minute clips out there on TH-cam for an hour of it anyways. 2 DVDs as originally released.
Kiko is the first Megadeth guitarist who looks like he’s having fun playing since Marty. Thanks Kiko and Dirk for making Megadeth great again ! Dave’s Kramer and Epiphone look awesome. I wonder who the Kramer USA Super Strat teased could be for ?
This video is a lot of help. I am a metal musician from Cuba, and everything is pretty basic here, so I've always wondered what is necessary to prepare those colossal gigs. Thanks Kiko!
There was a festival close to my house in 2014, metallica, slayer, mastodon etc. Seeing the whole thing being built and then torn down over weeks gave a sense of the scale of it. Huge operation. Then there's the engineering side of it, the planning, logistics, business stuff.
Kiko is the nicest person in this industry! it takes so many people to make a tour, it is awesome to get a glimpse into this world! thanks Kiko for sharing this :)
Love the behind the scenes Kiko. What a great perspective that we never get to see. Saw this great tour in Indiana in October. The new songs sounded great. Hope to see my favorite band on tour next year.
Totally random but the jacket you are wearing in the beginning when playing Trust, actually compliments your style quite a lot! You should consider wearing it more often!
I’ve worked as a local stagehand and I can attest that it takes a LOT of people working long grueling hours behind the scenes to make the show happen. Thanks for showing this to a wider audience.
I never imagined that the final mixing in a live show woukd be made in a digital equipment. It's amazing how digital technology advanced, I mean, this kind of thing must be as heavy duty as it gets. 20:10 MegaGroove My respect for all the hard working people that starts another shift after the show, dismantling everything just to mount everything again in another place, rinse and repeat. The unsung rock'n'rolk heroes. And thanks Kiko for putting the limelight on them.
So glad to see you giving credit to the people most of us don't see or even think of, but who are absolutely indispensable to make a great show happen! Long live the technicians - as well as musicians! Thanks for a wonderful and insightful video! :)
Kiko, you seem like a genuinely good guy. It’s awesome that you are able to show us what goes on behind the scenes. It truly takes a team effort to make these shows happen.
It seems like you’re really enjoying your time in Megadeth Kiko. You always get there super early, and you practice a lot. I’m glad you joined the band, you add so much to the new songs, and put a little bit of your own twist on the old songs, while still playing them perfectly.
when our garage burned down we befriended one of the construction guys who were rebuilding it. He is a rigger for big shows like this. Setting up all the scaffolding and whatever the hell is up in the ceiling. What a fucking insane job
My friend used to do this for the band rush,he had been with rush for 25 years and just blew me away watching him work they do so much work that people don't see that it's nice to see somebody do this for the back stage guys
Kiko these behind-the-scenes videos you make are just wonderful. It's great you showing off the crew too. They work hard as hell and it's good to see some recognition for them. I like Radar's Xmas lights on his gear.
Kiko is a treasure to the fans. Dude is so talented, humble and always gives good positive vibes. OPEN SOURCE is the only "guitar album" I listen start to finish.
Thank you so much for sharing such amazing videos. Curiosity is both sated and wild. Megadeth and the world is lucky to have you, thank you for inspiring so many people!
I've had the good fortune to photograph Megadeth twice this year, once with Lamb of God, then with Five Finger, and they're an incredible live act with a stunning production. I don't ever get to see this stuff, but I would absolutely love the chance to hang backstage from the time the trucks roll in to the time they roll out for just one show, to capture stuff like this.
Dude thank you for the humble bad ass videos! I’m buying course for me, but also for a x-max gift for a friend. Gotta figure that one out, but man I really appreciate you.
Kiko thank you for showing us all of the great people behind the scenes. I’m blown away you got a shot of a Gigantour decal on one of the gear boxes still there after all these years! I’m the guy who created that logo for Dave back in 04-05 as well as the site and some photography back then. Brings back great memories, thank you! And thank for the tour documentary you do so well.
Hey Kiko what's up, I'm a big fan from Monterrey Mexico, I just wanna say I'm glad that you're in Megadeth, well deserved, I've been following your guitar playing since the Angra albums back in the day when here in town we used to have guitar offs and competitions playing Angra songs... Greetings from Mexico 🤘

Dude, you rock. Not just for being such a great guitar player in one of the greatest bands ever but your social media presence and sharing this sort of stuff with the fans is gold.
Kiko is awesome. He gives credits and recognizes all the team that works with him. He is not caring only for his name and fame. Not only that, but he knows that he is a part of something bigger. Love this!
This channel is so freaking awesome I just love all the inside the magic content. I watch this stuff and think to myself my life choices have sucked I should be a part of something bigger than my experience. It’s my fault I know and God has been great towards me every inch of the way. I’m 50 yrs old in 2 days, I’ve played guitar since I was 12, and I’m actually pretty good at it. You’re great dude Kiko and it is nice to see all your hard work payoff into a great opportunity. Enjoy it bro because being normal and on the ropes most of the time instead of being in the center SUCKS. Be blessed always
Another amazing video Kiko! Thanks for the behind-the-scenes. As a touring musician myself I can relate to all the work needed to make sure everything runs as perfectly as possible!
This video demonstrates how much you appreciate the crew and the entire team involved with the production of a KICK ASS show! Keep up the good work and KEEP ON ROCKIN' \m/
I’m on the performing side of touring but I’ve always been fascinated by the tech behind the shows. Sometimes I’ll watch the crew set up the rigs and wonder how in the hell they put it all together in just a few hours. Nothing happens without these guys and gals. Thank you so much to all of the techs who make it happen! Lights, PA, Monitors, Backline techs, Drivers, Prod, Security and everyone else behind the scenes.
Kiko-This video was excellent; thank you for honoring the crew who helps you and the rest of the band look and sound great. You seem like a genuine, down to earth guy, and I really appreciate your videos
Such an awesome insight Kiko, can't believe how much goes into a live show and so many people, not many bands can afford to do this. You're such a humble down to earth dude Kiko 🤟
@Kiko Loureiro Thanks for taking the time to show all of us what it takes to put on a great show. You are a great example of how to be a down to earth rock star. Its no wonder Dave likes you so much.
I must say that Kiko Loureiro embodies the fun spirit and creativity of Brasil. So cool we get to go along for the ride. Muito obrigado meu amigo! O banda de Megadeth esta mais rico com vc.
Hi Kiko 😁, it would be cool if you talk about doing backup vocals in a live concert, do you warm up or train your voice? How you practice singing and soloing at the same time? (like in the final chorus of Trust) Greetings from 🇨🇱 :)
Seriously, Thank you so much for this behind the scenes peek into all the people and work that happens before I'm screaming and banging my head for the next 2 hours following! 🤘 THANK YOU
Kiko you are amazing, not just as a guitarplayer you are a beast and i love your passion for guitar, and that you take the time to make all these videos, it is just epic to see behind the scenes and i love all the content you put out for us fans keep it up much love from Sweden:-), send me one of them Megadeth crew Tshirts, i would never wear it i would hang it on the wall next to my Ibanez:-P, lol
I have so much more respect for the live shows now, which isn’t to say that I never did, but I used to have a lot and now I’m have double that, because not only do the musicians deserve attention, but also the excellent crew behind it, responsible for half the show. Awesome behind the scenes peek Kiko Loureiro! Can you please do more?
Love seeing videos like this. I have worked as the sound tech for the show Stomp for years, now I’m still with the show but as production manager, and there’s so much that goes on to make shows happen
Amazing video, Kiko! I haven't seen before the huge amount of equipment and staff needed for a concert like this. Thank you! Keep humble, you make us brazilians proud!
Besides you being a phenomenal player one of the saddest parts of you not playing with Megadeth is all these behind the scenes videos on tour. It is just so fucking cool to geek out on this as a massive fan. Saw you guys last year in Saskatoon, one of the most fun shows I've been to in a loooong time.
I have done one comment, but I'll do it again. You look like extremely happy in Megadeth. Happy to see you working and playing happy! Good look, God bless you and keep on recording , I like the videos !
A backstage tour with the lead guitarist of Megadeth. What a time to be alive!
We're living the DREAM!!!!

Love this backstage stuff.
SO MANY important people running the show.
Thank you so much, Kiko.
The amount of people that work hard to make a 1-2h show happen is crazy. They deserve all the recognition they can get.
There was a festival close to my house in 2014, metallica, slayer, mastodon etc. Seeing the whole thing being built and then torn down over weeks gave a sense of the scale of it. Huge operation. Then there's the engineering side of it, the planning, logistics, business stuff.
