That’s because it’s like an equal playing field. This deck wouldn’t do this in bo1..etc. but still not taking anything away from the talent. He’s amazing at draft format
what I dont get is that since they have run out of boxes they give the $250 instead. So it they should make it worldwide not US since they ran out of boxes
I do feel bad not playing in these, but I live in the EU, so really just can’t play it. Certainly hope they’ll do one of these events for non-US players soon.
Out of curiosity for those who won the first time they did this event, how long does it take WOTC to contact you? Was also fortunate enough to trophy my first attempt.
I think he thought it blinked immediately so he could try to draw a land, instead the card reads it returns at end of turn. Only why I can justify seeing why he did that play
You’ll have to let us know how many boxes they send versus how much money you get? Also I’ll buy a box off of you for $150-$200 if you get to many boxes?
Unfortunate how some countries’ gambling laws ( *cough cough* EU *cough cough* ) made shipping the product to other countries hard enough that wizards decided it’s not worth the effort to ship outside the US.
Gambling Laws? What does that have to do with it? Do you think competitions don't have prize support in the EU because you aren't guaranteed to win and therefore it's "gambling" or something? What a stupid take. The reason it's US only is because international shipping is exorbitantly expensive. Its costs $30+ just to ship a single Secret Lair, they would probably lose more than they make shipping internationally.
@@insaniac112 that’s not at all the reason, wizards is more than apt to pay shipping. It’s not even a “take” its literally the reason why the event prize is US only.
@benyseus6325 if it’s gambling laws, then why are Aren Open cash prizes available worldwide?? It literally is stated in the MTGA announcements that this is a pilot in how they can award non-monetary prices and they initially want to get everything right with shipping
@@MasterGidi it has to do with awarding prizes that have aleatory contents whose sign up required money or an equivalent pecuniary value. If you really want to know more, I recommend you to look up EU gambling law, it is one of the strictest in the world, for better or for worse
43:13 They didn't even need another land. The lethal exploit gave -3/-3 because the incubate token is modified.
Crazy to see how a deck with no “bomb” except uncommon thresher pop off!! Nice 👍

Thresher was betrayed with that thumbnail.
Kenji likes to win packs of cards that he will never play because all he does is draft :)
Haha same. I have 120 mthyic wild cards, 300 rare wild cards but when I play mtga all I do draft
Merry Christmas bro. Thanks for all the great content you blessed us with this year.

WotC is cheap like that
They don't want the Taliban farming the event to fund new roller blade wheels.
I think it has to do with international gambling laws, like in Germany.
If it was a way to clear extra stock why would the boxes be "sold out" online? @@AgentConundrum1
@@AgentConundrum1 Yeah but half way through the event they ran out of stock. I know there just want to move unwanted stock.
At 31:58 , wouldn't phasing out Combat Tresher remove the Astral Wingspan? If a permanent "doesn't exist" it cannot carry any Aura.
Not when it is already on the creature.
Permanents attached to something that is phasing out also phase out with it.
I love Combat Thresher, it's a dirty, dirty card when you can flicker it.
If you are outside the US do you get the $250 instead of the box or do you just get nothing ?
Nothing unfortunatly.

You owe Combat Thresher something...
Errant and Giada in the thumbnail doing my boy Combat Thresher dirty

they sent an email saying further instructions will be given in january at some point

Love this format!
More of these please Nummy!
Wow, that was fun to watch!
Title should be "Farming Boxes is Easy" given all the threshing that occurred...
I think that edgewall inn is still worth it as a dual even without adventures
Combat thresher should of been your thumbnail instead of Errant and Glada. Nice win though.
tried but couldn't find a high-res art for it :(
@@NumotTheNummyYT When in doubt, I like to use the Scryfall versions. Their card images have always been high quality for me.
TIL scryfall has an "images and data" section
How many boxes is he up to now?
First. Im not in the US so i cant win a box but thnx for the content this looks so fun
Combat Thresher go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
We need to know how much cash you earned when the event is over 😆
All hail combat thresher
33:58 shoulda done this at instant speed to eat their Shepherd

If you flicker thresher the 7 mana version return to the battle feild

U selling boxes?
The Thresh Prince of Bel-Air
Wow, nice!
Combat thrashed !
If only non US people could get something for 6 wins.
So sad that it's us only

That's bollocks as this is not gambling and even being with hard gambling laws are fine with this. This is all about wizards mate
I went second in about 80% of the games I played during this event over 5 or so entries, seems rigged
Us only is so bullshit
