The fact is she cherishes Mina. The anguish and pain of seeing her and not being close to support her clearly took its toll. Love doesn’t need qualifiers to be real. Whatever their relationship is, is their business. Things like this are why I am a once, all 9 members love each other and show it in unique fashion. I cried for Mina and Chaeyoung during this time too because they were hurting.

We all know Chae has always been smiling, laughing and loud when she's with the members but after Mina's hiatus she was quieter and serious more than usual. Mina's hiatus really impacted her a lot :( I also believe that her inspiration in wroting Handle it was Mina. This is the 1st video about Michaeng that makes me sob endlessly.
In the Feel Special era..Chaeyoung really exudes a different aura, it's not the bright aura she had before. She even got sick, there's really something about this time when Mina wasn't around.

I'm a baby Once - just became one last Sept 2022. Thank you for the explanation of that timeline. Everyone's too broken hearted 💔 I thought it was only a love at first sight thing with their song "what is love" but Mina made me stay. Mina and I had anxiety disorder on that year. She became my reason for being a Once. Seeing her break through it, made me think of living again❤ I'm glad to see all 9 happy now with Sharon 😅 will celebrate my ONcE year this September and they'll be here in our country❤ I'll be waiting❤
i swear, how many times i watched this in every different angle, baby beast was really different when Mina was gone for awhile, she wasnt that hyper, smiley, laughing with any member, shes been so out like her body was with them but her mind and soul was somewhere else.. It is true that Sana and Momo were way closer to Mina (Sixteen days) but its a whole different world when she's with Chaeyoung.. vise versa ~ you could literally see it in her eyes how sad she was even though she's smiling. Her sparkling round eyes wasnt showing at all.. the sparkling eyes that you notice everytime she stares at Mina ~ You could ship them to any other member, but these 2 being together is something else.

Off course, members were sad towards the situations faced by Twice, including Chaeyoung in particular. And off course, she missed Mina as well as the other members did.

i think the members know thaat chaeyoung was upset about mina, that's probably why jihyo looked at chae before mentioning mina and that's also why (Probably) momo held chae's hand tightly and smiled at her when mina was mentioned
