This band is all class; a bit of different handwrighting and Mr Wolf can obviously multi task !
One of my favorite Basie tunes, too bad it's not a little longer. Is Mr. Wolf primarily the piano player or the drummer, does great at both, wonderful to have so much talent. I love the band one of the best around.

I noticed, finally, after viewing this half a dozen times . . . that the bass player has only three fingers (plus a thumb) on his left hand. And I sometimes feel bad because I have arthritis in some of my left hand fingers. Even so, his fingers appear stronger than my 79 year old fingers. Yeah, and he plays better too . . .
My jazz drumming instructor who taught me in the 60's when I was a teenager, had severe psoriatic arthritis in both hands and was still good enough to fill in for Ed Schaughnessy with the orchestra on the Tonight Show. He never complained and did the best brush solos that I've ever seen.
These real musicians never complain and the young rockers always look like they are in pain or angry at somebody.
@@boomerguy9935 God bless those who keep playing and playing. I've always had huge respect for the drummers I've played with; they always seemed to hear everything and added the appropriate fills or accents to phrases.

Yes, he's damn good. It's not easy to keep that driving rhythm, playing every beat. Even when I was a young man it was exhausting. Fifty years later I won't even attempt it. But everybody is putting all their energy into a tune like this one. Exhilarating.
