Oh wow, I had goosebumps! This is arguably my most favourite aria from "Evgeny Onegin" and he sings it beautifully! It is a bit slower, but sounds more powerful this way. Or maybe it's just the amazing Furlanetto ))
In the contrary,I think that the slow tempo adds more beauty to this wonderful..unique piece of art! It is my humble opinion...Bravo,Ferruccio,amore mio! ankhsnammon
Well, I do speak Russian and dont like his pronunciation. Russian has some peculiar sounds which make it difficult for us in the west to distinguish between the words, but this is the way it should be spoken. The difference between Italian and Russian is quite large but so is the difference between German and Russian, and Rene Pape sings Boris with an almost flawless diction. I guess it is a matter of time invested in language training, and maybe talent. Anyway, his voice is still great!
I don't speak Russian, but it nice to hear the language sung by an Italian. It's the first time I've ever heard this aria sung where I could understand every word. No offense meant, but most Russian speakers swallow their words making it difficult for us Westerners to understand. Very nice rendition. Not what I expected when I saw Furlanetto
Reasonably good singing but litttle slow and over dramatic(obviously he does not know what he is singing-or perhaps he is just in love with his voice.I would give him four stars at best though.
The staging is awful. Who was the staging artist? He or she deserves to be fired. The interpretation is all wrong. It`s a very bad and evil vision of Russia. Though Furlanetto sings magnificently.
una voce con una grande estensione,e potenza
uno dei piu grandi bassi-baritoni.Bello il fraseggio,la recitazione,e l'espressività nel cantare. BRAVO!!
Furlanetto is the best bass alive. He is a great actor too.
What a voice! wonderful!

nice acoustics there! What a great voice, too!
Furlaneto, impossible to praise him enough! Wonderful singing and voice, and peerless acting! Such emotion here!
What a voice! what an actor!
Как носитель русского языка скажу, что не смотря на то, что furlanetto не русский бас, это лучшее исполнение этой арии в мире!
Beautifully sung :-)

Un vrai massacre en règle :-((
As good as the cast is, the production is vulgar and acting is amateurish.
