I actually made a huge, sit/stand desk out of an old headboard and footboard from a black, ikea bed. I made a riser for my iMac and monitors out of the footboard and the top from the headboard. I used an electric sit/stand pedestal. I made a slide out tray for my 88 key midi controller.
Hey man, just checking in, how has the desk held up and are you still using it? Thinking about getting pretty much the same setup as you with the straight racks. Thanks!
For those looking to save or make a custom desk! Bazel studio Desk's Raystag -18 music production desk is more affordable and offers way more studio rack space i.e $500 less. They offer options beginning at $480 MADE IN California USA ! Shipping is also $ 100 less than AZ Studio.
I actually checked those out. Didn’t love the look or finish of most of them and none of them fit my keyboard. And any that had a raised monitor shelf had almost no table top space.
Make Pop Music he can customize any option for you for way less even the height etc but I understand the thing about the look 👀 of your sanctuary; it’s a producer thing ... I’m more of an engineer so I need my rack space . He added an 88 key Keyboard bed on mine and it has 18u rack spaces . Keep bringing that great content you r doing a great job; I love learning to make music 🎶 it makes me a better engineer!
So, did he give you an idea of how much the desk would be as you had it configured? I'm thinking of getting one of those office tables that are real sturdy, that is high and wide enough to put an 88 key keyboard stand underneath and put that on furniture sliders. There are a bunch of units that will sit on the back, as you have, or you could just get a dual monitor arm and clamp it on the back. All that said, you get what you pay for, and the main difference between the $3-400 I'll spend and the over $1000 desks is looks, from what I've seen. But I'm not a TH-camr with an audience to impress, I just need to get my workflow working! Thanks for the video, and for being up front about the gifted desk. However, it's hard to say bad things when somebody customizes a $1300 desk for you (specifically so you will love it) and all they want is for you to crank up your video camera and saying a few words about what you think. Have a good one.
Hey! I actually had one of those large tables that I could have my keyboard on. It was nice, but honestly nothing compares to my current setup. Having space for a large keyboard underneath, having a small synth action keyboard up top, and having some built in rack space truly has been a game changer for my ergonomics and workflow. But if that isn't necessary for your workflow, there are definitely other alternatives!
I prefer sitting. I know I’m too lazy to ever swap it over to the standing option. However they are really great for improving blood flow and fixing back and neck issues! I use the Herman Miller Aeron!
Cable management and power supply location is the one downside of this tremendous product. There are so many enhancements they could do in this area but they say they don’t even customize for some simple things.
Nice desk, and great information. But the nonstop talking without pausing. Was giving me a headache. You are not the only one who does that. But you do have good information and I like your video. I am looking for a new desk and will check this one out.
Bro, we are fine not seeing your face. You can have narration in the background & make the screen blank if you are too lazy to film the product. We are here to see the product as much as possible.
I was hoping more footage on the work station itself, and see how you interact with the elements, how far o near things are, etc..... and less... a lot less of your face.... 🙄
When the video is about the desk and your face has the most runtime.
Should of showed more of the desk in detail in the video, your face is nice, but we wanna see more of the desk.
I get the sense that hiring a carpenter to make just what one needs is the way to go in most cases. I feel you on cable management.
Yea I've come to this conclusion too.
Yes. They are much cheaper
Thanks bro I'm getting the korg pa5x 88. I need a desk where I can see the screen
You got any coupon codes?
do u have that desk currently set up in an apartment or a house? also do you recommend if living in apartment with enough space ?
House! Yeah! It’s just heavy to move so get someone to help 😂
Nice desk!!! Like the new room design and panels!! Looks very professional! I bet it sounds great as well.

what size are your computer monitirs?
Now I just have one 49 inch monitor
@@MakePopMusic what’s on the desk in this vid?
Hello i dont know if you will read this but can you recommend me the best type of drums to use for pop songs?
I'm def gonna buy from them. Nobody even comes close to their designs. Ty for the tip!
I just made my own with my dad who is a cabinet maker.
Well Todd, not everyone’s dad is a cabinet maker.
did anyone actually get to see the desk up close?

I use it literally every day and it still looks and feels brand new!
@@MakePopMusic Aye thanks a lot bro I really appreciate you getting back to me. I think I'm gonna try to make this one the one then haha
i am looking also for a good desk, the best dimensions that fits for me and its difficult to find one
Super sleek idea

Thanks for posting this. Very informative and great info
Very nice looking desk!!
Thanks for making this. I'm about to place my order. Does anyone know where those standing lights are from?
All Modern 😄
@@MakePopMusic Thanks!
Perfect. I’m looking for a desk. I was debating about the Platform Output desk. This one looks awesome though.
The platform didn’t fit my keyboard and I didn’t love the finishes. Super happy with this one!
@@MakePopMusic Thanks for the info!
There's a couple diy platform clones if you look on TH-cam.
Joey Feniello good idea!

There is an additional fee for configuring the desk. I was quoted $225 for extra 2” on the width and depth of desk. Absolute insanity!
You should have shown off the desk more while you were talking. Wanted to see it more :/
Sit/stand option is amazing. Speaking of... What's your chair Austin?
I prefer sitting. I know I’m too lazy to ever swap it over to the standing option. However they are really great for improving blood flow and fixing back and neck issues! I use the Herman Miller Aeron!
Dam, I really their desks. Too bad they don't ship to the UK. Wonder if there is something similar here.
Zaor, StudioDesk, Sessiondesk, Buso Audio, Sterling Modular and several others all ship to the UK
Hey, that's a great workstation, amazing studio as well. Appreciate the informations too. :)
beautiful Deep
Do you think that you achieve a producer state that allow you to own a Herman Miller Chair? Because that it's a life achievement...:) Congratz
Hey austin! I used your submission form last week about production work, on your website, I was wondering if you received it or not! Take care!!
pro tip: you can watch series on Flixzone. Been using them for watching lots of of movies these days.
@Gunnar Jayden definitely, I've been watching on flixzone} for since december myself :)
nice bro !!!!
You look like a character from vice city :P Loved the video btw.
The “Miami Coke Dealer” vibes are immaculate with the mustache and floral button up 😂😂

Great video dude, but I only have around 500$ for one, so ill have to keep looking. That desk is awesome though 🖖
Love it

Blah blah. Rule nr 1. If you want sombody's attention. Don't talk to much.. Get to the point...
