Man that's was a fun tournament to watch. Glad you pulled out a 3rd. I've been hitching a ride over to Russell SC. Catching a few on scattered rock off the bank on a jig. Truthfully my favorite way to catch em. Finesse jig fishing. Good luck next time on the water.
@@joeyTR21X Thanks man! I appreciate you taking the time once again to watch my video! It was tough with the low water and wind blowing all day. Glad to hear you’re still getting out to catch a few! 👊🏼👊🏼🔥
good job man me and a good friend of my thats a very good fisherman just talked about two thing one fishing in the wind and going back down the same bank that you just fished but slower and and how many people forget about a worm in the wind i have done it and it works but great job
@@bigmikefishingchonicles9950 I tried a jig and a slider head . And a Texas rig mag finesse worm…. I should have tried a heavier weight in that wind. Once I realized the fish were holding on the trees that still had some water on them…. The river was down about 2-1/2 ft. I started making several cast at the same trees from different angles and started to catch more and a little better fish. But your right with what your saying. Thanks for watching Mike! As always I appreciate it 👊🏼👊🏼
@@chriswells1327 sounds like a good day. I think this was my 4th time fishing the Tar I’m curious was the river really low when you were there? It kind of caught me off guard I had not been there in a couple weeks. Thanks for watching!👍🏻👍🏻
@@chriswells1327 Yeah wind made it tough. I couldn’t get much going at first but once I figured out a bait they would eat …. I just kept it in my hand. 👍🏻👍🏻
Yes water was low, didn’t have the wind you had, I was catching them on crank bait throw up shallow working back, I should’ve backed off some and fished drop off I think to improve on size.
I would have to make several cast to the same trees more as the day went on to get bites. Some trees didn’t have much water left on them so if I had a tree with 3-4 ‘ of water on them I made several cast at times before getting a bite.
@@grahamjarman Most are released to be caught another day. If a bass for some reason dies during the competition day it can’t be released and must be weighed in. There are weight penalty’s for bringing in dead fish. Most tournament anglers do everything possible to not kill their catch so they can one day be caught again. Thanks for the question! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
