It's one of my favourite songs, and even with a noisey crowd, Su's voice just soars above the audience. We do go quiet if Su tells us to or she is singing the One or quieter songs 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

Momoko's contribution is great. Thanks to her, BM has been reborn. However, in this video, it seems she doesn't have a microphone yet. It sounds only Moa is on the chorus. Live video of the song by the new BM in Legend MM will be released in the next month or so, so check out the version with Momoko's chorus!
In June, European music festivals tour for BM begins. First, on the 7th local time, the ‘Rock im Park’ will be hold in Nuremberg, Germany. ElectricCallBoy is scheduled to perform too, and many famous Mates from Japan are on the road. BM may have a collaboration with EC again!..

That was a really delightful reaction. Great job. A couple of things I thought of. I love Momo and her officially becoming part of Babymetal was actually announced at the end of this concert. She's not actually singing here on the first night or Black Night. The next Night, Clear Night as the new official third member she's got her mic and is singing. And all the ladies debut their new costumes celebrating the rebirth of the New Era Babymetal.
But Momo had been the sole Avenger singing with Babymetal since 2019 so she has had some time to get up to speed. Not to take anything away from her she's been such a positive addition.

Great reaction and in Japan it is standard for most concerts to ban phones recording (or allow it for one song like Band-Maid did for their 10th anniversary show), something that should be done in the US (but won't happen). Stock up on chocolate.

The PIA Arena is in Japan. It is a strict rule to not record shows in Japan and there's usually an announcement of it before the show starts. Though Japanese people don't do that normally anyways. And the organized partition of the audience is also a Japanese thing. It makes it easier to evacuate if there's an emergency.
Momo metal has been performing as early as the other two. She has been performing with Babymetal since 2019 and is a fan of Babymetal even before that. So, it's no surprise she probably already memorised all their choreo by now. 😆

If you want to react to a recent version of Gimme Chocolate, I recommend Live at Makuhari 2023, there is a special surprise in that performance :)
About the phones, consider that filming a concert without permission is forbidden, so japanese people simply dont't do it. But all of them have a phone in their pocket. After Gimme Chocolate, watch the song Monochrome (one of the best of their newest songs) from the same concert (PIA Area 2023), and you'll see.

Awesome, and great reaction! I love that Babymetal has turned their child-like adorableness in the early days to now, a cute but bad-a$$ sassiness. Amazing. And yes, Su's mature voice is absolutely amazing as well.
The lack of phones in Japan is actually a common policy/rule at concerts, and the audience is very respectful of this. That's why the "phone part" in Monochrome is especially "naughty" and hilarious of Su. You'll see once you do a reaction to that song live (Pia Arena MM as well).
Also, the gals have been much more relaxed and themselves on stage in 2023, which is amazing to see. So, for funsies, Babymetal stage antics for the laughs:

I already consider the actual song (and music video) a masterpiece. But they put it on another level when they perform it live. And this is one of the best live versions. The guitar lead (by Chris Kelly, I think) during the crowd interaction is pure gold. Another cool thing is that Moa always tries to break Su saying or doing something funny during the mask play. They cut it out often (like here) but you can see the result: Su laughing when she lowers the mask. Interestingly, they kept everything in the Legend-MM version. 😁
Taking videos or photos at BABYMETAL concerts (not sure if also applies to every show in Japan) is strictly prohibited. People have been kicked out of the venue for this. And, honestly, I prefer this way.

It's the day before the new BM is live.
I was at this venue. It was a standing area and I couldn't see much but I enjoyed it. During this concert, the members of the new BM were announced. The next day, the costumes were changed, MOMOMETAL had a microphone, and she had twin-tail hair, which is the sign of BM members.

Momo had been performing with Babymetal since 2019, just without a microphone. So yes, she has had plenty of time to learn all the choreo and lyrics. 😊

During the avenger era none of the 3 who filled the Yui role had microphones and just danced. If you look closely on this version Momo has an ear piece but no microphone. She also gets a lot less screen time than Moa. Once she officially joined as a full member she started to sing Yui's parts.
I always think it must have been a hard decision for Momo to agree to fully join. No matter how talented she is, and she is very, there must have been a 'will the fans accept me as I'm not Yui?' fear in the back of her mind. Su alluded to this in an interview following the announcement. Thankfully as far as I know there hasn't been any fan backlash.
There was some "backlash" before she was "promoted". "Yuibros", "Rihobros", as well as "Kanobros", the nasty fraction of them. Most of them were silenced soon after Momo got her mic and the crowds cheered for her "Momometal desu"😄Most ridiculous were those saying "she´s too fat!"... f***ing nonsense! There is some saying that there were even people throwing cups and such things at Momo. Couldn´t verify, tho.
I´m a "Yuibro", but a "Momobro" at the same time. I saw the "LA Forum 2019" concert on video and I was 100% sure, after watching the RoR performance, that Momo would take the third spot on some day in the future. That felt a little bit strange at first, I´m a Yuibro after all😉But it felt natural at the same time. It had to happen! Well...
I still remember Yuimetal VERY fondly and I love to watch performances she did. Interviews and such. Just listening to her speaking voice, which I like VERY much. Most soothing voice I ever heard. And nearly the same goes for Momometal! Sometimes I have the feeling that they are something like almost-twins by soul. And there are those weird coincidences, like the yellow bandana of the "Mini Pati cooking club", both are rather sweet and shy during interviews, both have a soothing speaking voice. Both have the "staring at the camera" behaviour. Momo not as excessive as Yui, tho.
On the other hand, there are quite some differences. The "Yui taking your soul just by staring at you"-thing is Yui-only. Never experienced that with ANY other person I saw on video or met in person. I couldn´t believe that there are many other people out there who experienced the same. I thought for some time that I´m just a little bit crazy and weird. There is some kind of a bond with a person I met, established just by staring at each other, so I know what I´m talking about. Although that person didn´t take my soul (yet)😅
Yui´s accuracy in the choreo movements is still unmatched. Sometimes I wasn´t able to determine if there was ANY deviation in the movements she did repeatedly. That was scary even. She was called "Yui-Bot" for some reason 😅
Momometal is the "perpetual joy generator". It´s absolutely impossible to stay in a bad mood if you see her smile. I don´t know what it is, maybe she has simply an aura made of joy... I feel joy even if she looks "serious". I saw her live, btw. Her dancing is very elegant, sometimes even more elegant than Moa´s dancing (Moa is AMAZING doing choreo!). She´s not as flexible as Moa, but she has something special in her movements. Something that even Yui didn´t have. There are some points more. Momo is a huge package full of surprises, I believe. We haven´t seen anything yet.
To end the wall of text (and I hope you don´t mind): all four are something special. Momo didn´t replace Yui, Momo took the third spot, and rightfully so! Yui should be remembered as Yuimetal, for all time. She was so great as Yuimetal!
