Found them through Fenriz's Black Metal University, though I had heard of them prior and forgot. Check out Slaughter Lord as well, I just busted a nut.
The german Black-Death Metal band Poison was formed in 1982, one year before the birth of US-Glamrockers Poison. They were also not only earlier than the US-band, but also one of the earliest Extreme Metal Bands - before Mantas/Death, Celtic Frost or Possessed.
The other Poison isn't glam rock, they're glam metal. Different genres. If you're going to insist they aren't metal, this ain't metal either, it's hardcore punk. :P
Sex Bomb by Flipper is over 10 minutes but still definitely hardcore punk. Anyway, y’all brain dead elitists completely missed the point of my comment. Of course this is thrash metal, just like how Poison is obviously glam METAL. Thrash metal is a fusion of metal and hardcore punk, taking influence from hardcore does make something more metal than taking influence from pop rock does.
Ok, Poison is great but don't place them above Death, Celtic Frost and Possessed. Poison were still recording demos when Possessed released *Seven Churches* and *Beyond the Gates* . Poison's first decent "release" was *Into the Abyss* demo in 87 and by that time Celtic Frost had already released *To Mega Therion* and *Into the Pandemonium* and Death had released *Scream bloody gore* , unleashing tones of influence in the global metal community. It's good to highlight the importance of underground bands but it's also significant not to argue by devaluing monumental bands.

poison is and will always be the most underrated black metal band from germany they're simply a hunge banger that deserves more followers , fuck american poison
