    Nicely done Jesse. That's a good bit of useful information on how to confidently move in for a save.

      Unfortunately' there are very few channels on TH-cam that have this kind of content and even the content is not posted like 3 times a week or so. Wish there was a lot of welding content. Either way, the content is really great. I do love the content.

    Great vid. Wish you would have shown how you can weld an even bigger gap by feeding two or more filler rods into the puddle at the same time... Love how you showed the pen at the end. 5/5 nice job!

    Very helpful but what are your settings? How do the settings on this machine relate to a miller dynasty. Thanks

    Hello dear Jesse. Between the EX and the EXT series, what differences exist to obtain a cord as in the minute 03:47 greetings!

  • @OmarUnikel

    Hi Jesse, I'm glad to say hello. Is there any Everlast MIG model that can weld aluminum without spool gun, that is dedicated to non-ferrous metals and trick the torch for this?
    Because I see that most of you must buy the spool gun separately. Some machine that the torch is for aluminum.
    Greetings friend.

      253dpi, single and dual pulse, Teflon liner is standard, no spool gun needed

    I have a question on the first example, where you had some overlap. For a base metal that's sensitive to hot cracking (like 6061), how much filler is required to change the puddle alloy to avoid this problem? It seemed like you were only jamming in enough filler to make 10% of the bead. Is this reliably enough?

    • @jessemccollum
      @jessemccollum 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually learned that rolling over technique on some intake manifolds I build. The runners are 6061 and come through the bottom pan about 5/32". I use more filler when rounding those over and dont have an issue with them cracking. Send me a message on Facebook or Instagram and I can share some pictures of the process

      2% lanthanted 1/8" tungsten, about a 30 degree or so grind(pointed), 8 cup on a gas lens, 5/16" stick out, 25cfh stargon AL, 35% balance, 120hz, no pulse, .4 pre, 10 seconds post, advanced square wave.
      We definitely just plain forgot about the settings when filming this video, on the other videos I have coming up we hit the settings pretty hard

  • @JRP3
    @JRP3 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It would be nice to list all parameters for each weld: Tungsten type, grind angle, cup size, stick out, flow rate, balance, frequency, pulse settings, pre and post flow, wave form, etc.

      Running praxairs stargon AL mix, you need to run slightly more gas flow than you would with pure argon

    Sir I need advice i want to buy everlast welder no tig experience want to buy one welder that I can graduate to that will do everything a great welder would need i have desired the 255
    And my second thing is I am a paraplegic and can't use foot pedal so help with thumb control torch
    The foot pedal thing is what has held me back for years now (my fault) people always said can't be good without pedal
    Im not soft do some body off work and patch panels
    I want to know how to tig and going to figure it out but don't want to buy second welder unless I can start making some bank with first choice
    If you feel you can advice me I would love it
    Thanks

      Visit 6061 dot com and check out his torch control button. Don't know how it would play with Everlast, but probably OK. You might need to work a bit to find the connector for the 255EXT but it can be done.

      We have hand amp control sliders and buttons. Both take the place of a foot pedal.

    Tell your Techs not to have a table magnet near, while welding aluminum. Magnets and AC don't mix.
