How do I get out of scientific notation if I have a whole equation that includes some scientific notation in it? Ex. (4x10^23)+5. Anytime I try to add anything after the 23, I’m still in the exponent area.
Nice looking calc (like the design and colours), but it seems to be really complicated and way too many button presses for normal operations. On a normal calc (from Casio, other TI, HP, etc) I can simply and much faster just press "sin"-button , "2", ")"-button and finally "^-1"-button. This TI-34 calc, with all those tedious menus and all 2-nd-button presses would drive me crazy (and also make everything much slower)! Insane!
This scientific calc, I like a lot of other scientific calculators, uses the equation based operating system. Correct, for simple calculations, it can seem like more button presses are required. However, for large calculations, where you want to see the entire thing before you evaluate, these operating systems are superior to the algebraic based operating systems of smaller cheaper calculators. I understand it’s not for everyone, but for those in high school geometry courses or above, I actually recommend the switch.
although my calculator is the same as the one in the video its on DEG but the fraction button is a dash / instead and all the buttons acting different and idk how to fix it update I selected mathprint and it worked

For annuities, I need to see problem you're being asked to solve. For compound interest, the formula you use is this: A = P(1 + r/n)^nt, where P is the principal amount that you start with, r is the interest rate (as a decimal), n is the number of compoundings per year, and t is the amount of time that has passed, in years.
@TutorTerrific Thank you for replying. I have an exam in 5 hours, and every time I try to enter the formula in my TI-34 calculator, I am getting an error message.

Hey, I really need your help, I can't find how to fix this. My fractions and square roots do not display how its shown on your video. One day it just changed. I would like it to be changed back. For example, If I wanted to solve the square root of 4 by pressing the square root sign then 4, it would show " √(4 " instead of the 4 under the square root sign like it used to. For fractions, I cannot put a numerator and denominator; instead, it just displays a " / " rather than the " -- ". Please help! My math teacher could not figure out why this happens.
