The "chicken rice" dish is made with "Gà ta, Gà Ri" , a type of chicken raised entirely from corn and paddy so the meat is firm and delicious. Using industrial chicken will not give the same quality of meat. "Chicken rice" is delicious and the ingredients are fresh. I love your videos. Max! You are like a Vietnamese native.

This is my absolutely most favourite dish in Vietnam. I just returned a week ago from being over there in my homeland for about 3.5 weeks. I brought some of the Cao Lau dried noodles home with me, so I could make the dish here. Same with the Cao Lau croutons! I am so excited! :)

Max do you have plan to go to Hue? Since you are quite near Hue now. One thing i can tell you, the Bún bò huêd you eat in SG and the original Bún bò Huế in Huế is the whole different things ... also you can try Bánh canh cá lóc Thuỷ Dương in Huế, spicy and delicious!!!

Hey Max, Hue is near Da Nang. You should try Bún bò Huế Bà Cẩm - 46 Le Loi, Hue city. I am a big fan of Hue beef noodle soup and it's the best beef noodle bowl I've ever eaten.

the best way is "gà trộn" with rice and a lot of "sa tế ngọt" (tương ớt) on top :)))) you're right Max, i'm from Hoi An & always eat chicken rice that way :) there're so many delicious food in Hội An like bánh xèo, hến trộn, bánh đập, mỳ Quảng, bánh bao bánh vạc, Phở Hội An.... you must try next time :)

The secret to Vietnamese food is adding the fresh herbs: mint, Vietnamese parrilla, fish mint, Vietnamese coriander, ngo, just to name a few.
