    Hey Boys.
I broke my new chair yesterday night out of nowhere. That's a fair indicator of being too fat! Market correction is needed!! hehe Anyway, I bought a cheap chair and of course it needed to be assembled and it took me a long time to figure that out. I never saw any destructions so I was forced to wing it man style to assemble it! hahaha
One of the things that I have been noticing that is a sign of where we are in the rebuild is that in the games we lose we tend to get trapped in our zone with great frequency for extended time and nothing ever good comes from being trapped in your zone like that. Typically we give up a goal or a penalty or both! The margin of error right now is still razor thin. We get one, two at most chances to break the puck out and if we fail it tends to turn into a dog fight in our zone.
I know the 4 nations cup is happening in lieu of the all star game but, I am assuming they will still be naming all star players regardless? If that is the case is Celebrini an all star? That would be crazy if he is. I have been having the same conversation that you guys had tonight.
In fact my best friend and I were talking about just how much better Celebrini has been this year than we expected. Its pretty stunning really. Granted its a fairly small sample size so the proof will be in the pudding but, because he has exceeded my expectations I am beginning to question where his ceiling is as a player? Did the hockey world misread Celebrini and not see his potential ceiling correctly? Time will tell but, man like you guys I am so glad he is a Shark and I also agree we have not seen a player like this in our franchise. I don't know how good Vinnie Dampheus was at 18 or at least in his rookie season whenever that was but, I agree it seems likely that we have not seen his like in teal before!
I don't know if you guys remember me bringing this very point up in the preseason as we were seeing the Sharks roster take shape but, I said then that we need at least one person who is a Ryan Clowe type who can really put the fear of god in opponents and protect our young guys. I agree with you Aaron that everyone should be willing to stand up for Mac and it was deflating that no one stepped up in the moment to challenge that dude.
Also, I made this point with another old friend of mine tonight on the phone and I will pose it to you guys: How big were you guys at 18? I was 5' 101/4" and 165 lbs of solid muscle. I started working out 7 days a week right before my 15th birthday at the end of my freshman year. I asked a star athlete neighbor who had just graduated from college with a degree in physical education how do I get stronger. He advised me to do 5 sets of 20 push ups with my feet on the bed. He told me to do other stuff too but, I disregarded that other stuff but, not the push ups.
I started with 5 sets of 20 with my feet on the bed at 5'10" and 133lbs at age 14 and when I graduated I was doing 10 sets of 35 pushups with my feet on the bed, 10 sets of 35 bar dips and running 3.5 miles in the dirt/sand roads and orchards behind our house. I ate like a horse but, only weighed 165lbs and I was very strong. Maclin is 6' 192lbs and he is under the tutelage of his father for all his teen years in his training. Maclin is a big dude. That is not a teenager. Will Smith is a teenager. Shakir is teenager at 6'4" 179lbs! Mac is built like a truck and he is only 18!!!
Maclin's ability to take pucks off of other players is just sick. He took a puck from Sid the Kid when we played Pittsburgh last time! And the face offs...holy inflatables! hahaha All right boys. Thanks for another fun show.
P.s. I am starting to get antsy about my fin factor water bed with poly bendum arriving in time for Christmas? hahaha Cheers boys!

Speaking about players who are ready to drop the gloves, I really hope we will draft Victor Eklund this summer (William Eklunds brother). He is just as skilled as William but a hell of alot tougher, never backs out from going into tough situations

It would be amazing to have them together but highly unlikely. I can't imagine Grier drops down to get him if he has a high slot, or moves up to select him if he does not. It could be like the NJD selecting the Hughes brothers though, would be REALLY cool.

@TheFinFactor I mean, if the Sharks end up with their first round selection somewhere between 5th and 10th, I'd say why not go for him? If they end up with a top 3 pick then sure there are better prospects to select, but its really early to tell at this point where they will finish in the standings

Victor is more of a goal scorer compared to William who is more of a playmaker, so they could be a perfect duo just like the Sedin twins was for Vancouver, Henrik as the passer and Daniel as the scorer 😀
