    Always a fan of NPTEL. thanks to you people and Prof. B.S. Murty.
    If we can have an Index in between individual lectures to jump directly to that portion of the video. lets say in this this video I only wand the concept of Phases so you can direct me to 21:00 tor this mentioned sub topic. Thanks for the knowledge.

    sir suppose we take ice(at 0 degree celcius) and put it in liquid all at 0 degree will ice starts to melt ?? temp maintained at 0 degree centigrade

      Solid ice will act as nucleating site and everything will freeze.

    sir grain boundaries and other impurities have high free surface energy so according to the delta G equation at 47:43 we need more undercooling and more delta Gv for the delta G to be 0 or negative na? so how come there is no undercooling or less undercooling required in heterogenous nucleation?

    Sir you have considered constant pressure in calculating Maxwell's equation then why does dp is not zero when dh is Tds

    sir, i have some confusion,u told that in G vs T curve,at T=0, G will have an intercept H as G- H- TS but at T=0 ,H will also be zero as H = integral of Cp dT. could you please clear my doubt.

      Ankur Kasare IDD,Metallurgy, IT-BHU, Varanasi (INDIA) because of we assume H=0 at 298k and if we take H=0 at T=0 then whole curve will be in positive quadrant.
