I agree with Alexander that bands have to keep going forward and evolving. If you stick with the old albums that's maybe just nostalgia happening. The style clearly changed but it is still clear that it's Allu's mind, like changing some seasoning in a food recipe to make the flavor a bit different but it's still the same food. I think CoB albums from the "new era" are even better than old era in every way, because Alexi learned how to "balance" and "filter" the songs. Making virtuous songs like Kissing The Shadows is great but it isn't as hard as composing something like Scream For Silence or Are You Dead Yet or Hecate's Nightmare. Composing songs with nice melodies and harmonies that stick in your mind is greater and harder than saying "I'm gonna show you how fast and complex we can play".
@00- I agree with that. I never understood why everyone ignored the meaning of his lyrics, it's really sad. I always loved CoB musically but the lyrics were always really dark and sad

Someone said that Ale is as good as Alexi in guitar..Anyways in my opinion Ale is very mature and wise guy, and it had its own impact on COB music. We can hear it after COBHC album, in wasnt anymore same.
