Seeing Sister M. Alexandra as Novice Mistress in this docu shot memories of our teaching years in South Amboy, New Jersey at ST. Mary's High School. I taught in South Amboy for one year and was then transferred to Hasting Nebraska. She was a music teacher or produced good musicals with students and made choir boys out of rough heads. As a whole, I have good memories of our sisters in the USA. Before I came to our Motherhouse in Germany, I was the first Sister of our Community to teach at Marquette High School in Alton, went to New Jersey for a year and finished my Masters in English in one year, and then moved on to St. Cecilia High School in Hastings. My years in our American Province years joyful, sometimes difficult years. Eventually, I ended up in Germany because of a death in my family. My Mother General asked me if I could imagine myself in Germany to be closer to my mother. Right away, she told me that I could teach there. I did for 16 years. I no longer teach, but I have written a novel in German which has been published, and I am working on another. My life has been rich. I thank God for all the people I have met in my life and the children I had the privilege to work with. I always left my classroom with the words God bless, thank you for working well with me. In German, "Danke für die gute Zusammenarbeit." Many of the younger generation I do not know, but that is fine, life goes on. I just want you all to know that the American Province is in my prayers. I think we make God's Merciful Love visible all over the world. God bless! Keep on growing in the Lord. God bless, greetings, Sister Gisela Maria.
