For the information about what you were wondering , the manga will restart yes, but the anime it's hard to tell depending on the studio. The author Yoshihiro Togashi who also did Yuyu Hakusho as taken a break for reasons of health. From what i understand it was back problems but he said he would restart...here's hoping !!

However, it wss readapted two decades later in the early 2010s. For almost a decade, HxH has not had a new episode as the story is currently unfinished. Togashi, author of the story, has the habit of going on hiatus often with this series
To answer probably why it hasnt fully came back is because the writer of it gets sick quite a bit. The manga went on for a bit, but hasnt in awhile. The next arc from the manga stuff is gonna be incredible once it comes out (Eventually).
My top animes/manga (not including manhwa) 1. One piece 2. HxH . . .9. Naruto. I'm keeping naruto above top 10 because of the nostalgic and memories. Naruto was under top 5 until some reincarnation shit came in. Just because you are reincarnation, Naruto became 10 times stronger 💀 . That fucked up the story for me. Naruto till Gai's 8th gate is still top 5 tho....
