My paternal grandfather and I went on a road trip celebrating my admission into an "elite" prep school (all the good that did for me LOL) in the summer of '85 taking in a Met game at the old "Big O" in my youth on the heels of the Carter trade to Flushing. It was a bizarre experience for a 13-year-old from Jersey City, New Jersey to watch my beloved Mets (not his beloved Giants) in a foreign land with a scoreboard and PA announcer in French! If you like Hygrade Smoked Meat sandwiches with chips (not French Fries in Quebec being French Fries aren't actually French) in place of hot dogs with an RC and a ballpark that looked like the crashed flying saucer from Roswell, then Olympic Stadium was your place. It was a surreal experience I never forgot. That is the beauty of our game, it's a friend that never leaves us. The game, the memories. I love baseball. Great video, thanks for posting! Is this game more "fast moving" than Fall Classic (not that Fall Classic is slow)? It looks like youre moving pretty quick with not too many checks. Thanks!
So when you rolled a 54 with the bases empty and then rolled a 21, you use the 21 to check the ballpark card. Rolls of 21-26 are shown there. It is either a ball out of play or a foul out. In this case it would have been a ball out of play and then you would have rolled a new "fresh" roll on Rose's card. It would have not made a difference in this instance, but just wanted to let you know. Great game.
