Amen at 1:00 as Gleaner has forgotten more about building combines than most will ever know ! 😁👍

    great video Brandon.
also remember when this machine was built alot of farms didn't have as tall of sheds as now so this system worked great for lower head room shed.
Gleaners at that time had the cleaner grain sample of any combine on the market.

I love the light setup. The gleaner is cleaning the grain beautifully great video

Great view of the filling / balancing system! I would have thought it would be too complicated, but you know it has to be a simple and elegant mechanism to work so well on a vintage machine!

Just wanted to say hello from N.E. Alabama. Really cool stuff that you're doing. Love to see the ole Gleaner girls still in feild strutting their stuff.💯

The gleaner corn heads were second to none in down and tangled corn. I was going when a new 7720 was plugging every 20 feet

I gotta say, this is one of the best farming channels on TH-cam. Between you and oliver66farmboy, I don't see much of a need to watch the large channels

"center line design" not center line balancing. Allis Chalmers "better by design"

Had no idea they worked that way. I've only driven Deere combines. Thank you for sharing.

Never saw a Gleaner plant corn but it must have the grain tank emptied while it was moving, betcha the other brands can’t do that.😊

Hi! I have a question. What is the difference in the corn you are shelling for livestock or people, like in a corn mill for corn chips?

Thank you Brandon, for explaining & the great video. If Ur like me it's not full until U hear the kernels hitting the cab roof. 😕

Love the IH heads adapted to the Gleaner. I remember the one on the platform, awesome. Respect for your talents. I am running. John Deere 635f and 843 heads on a Case IH 8010.

I added a 4 in extension to the front wing so you don’t get corn in the overflow hopper on your head.

Thanks for sharing your farm, I think it's really important for people to understand where their food actually comes from, I think a lot of people think our food just turns up magically on the shelves of Tesco, Walmart and the may other food outlets around the world. As a result people don't understand the struggle that farmers everywhere have, just to put food on all of our tables. Whether that's high energy costs, the weather, animal or plant diseases or even a world wide pandemic. We always say to service people thanks for your service but without farmers, where would we be, so to all farmers out there, no matter where you are from, I thank you for your service.
And thanks for showing us the dark arts of combining corn, I say dark arts because although I have seen how a combine works 1st hand, it's all still a bit mysterious. 🤗

Good video. Do you know if the newer Gleaners still use a similar system? Allis Chalmers/Gleaner was really good for having simple designs, straight forward engineering. When they had something that worked well, they stayed with it. They didn't reinvent the wheel every couple of years. That says a lot when you can keep up or even out pace newer equipment.
