Hi Ms. Dyke! Thank you for posting this video! It was really helpful! I have a question for you. How do you do the trills in the piece? Or is there a website where I can get the fingerings for all of the trills. Also, what is the squiggly line on top of some of the notes and what does it mean? Thank you!
When you trill-always trill to the note above. The first trill is above the Bb so trill to the C (thumb) The squiggly line is a mordent. That means to trill once. The first mordent is above the Eb. So instead of playing just the Eb, play Eb-F-Eb. But this piece is Baroque, so start on the higher note -which means you will have to play 4 notes (F,Eb,F,Eb) The next one is above the D- so play Eb,D,Eb,D The trill in measure 19 is on a D- trill to Eb (pinky) and the next measure trill the A to Bb. (Left hand second finger-if you are using thumb Bb) Hope this helps -hard to explain in words. Easier to show you
Thank you Ms. Dyke!
You’re welcome!
