I learned to discipline myself when buying. When i feel the urge to shop. I dig out my old storage bins and to my surprise i find treasures i missed or items that increased in value or items i incorrectly identified when placing in storage. Anyhow it satisfies my urge and it's like i saved money. Point i am making is its important to go back to really old inventory because trends and value can change along with increased knowledge to identify items. Jewelry is my specialty.
I find it so unfortunate that a lot of companies give the men better paternity leave than some companies do maternity leave. I worked for chickfila and didn't get any paid maternity leave and my husband got 4 weeks of PAID paternity leave. I was super appreciative to have him those 4 weeks, but not being paid on my leave caused me to start working from home and chickfila lost me as an employee. I'm sure they weren't to concerned considering it's a fast food chain and they have tons of people applying there on a daily basis, but that doesn't change the fact that it should be illegal not to offer at least partial pay while in maternity leave.
Ashley I think you need to up the food rewards. I'm familiar with CFA but hot dogs and tacos? I'd be like filet mignon and cheesecake if I got 100% done. 😊Love your channel!!
Actually I love what you’re doing and I love how fair you are and what you offer back to people and how hard you work. I think your pricing is very fair for the value of what people are getting in return. I love your website and I can’t wait for the next one. Don’t work too hard enjoy your family all you can make life important to you not what others want❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️Business must always be second to your family and yourself!! ( I forgot that rule and ended up with cancer because of the stress & any of hours /Wk I worked -70 hrs)😂😂
You're are so inspiring. I sold on ebay when it started and did well. I tried to list an estate in 2020 and it was so hard and had changed so much. I have body size bags of clothes in wanted to list on eBay and Macari because nothing ever sells well on Poshmark in my opinion.
I’m amazed how cheap are your stores mine are awful expensive and on top of that very low quality items!!! I love to see how people is able to get good quality items for cheap, thanks for your inspiration!!!!
Great haul I did the same thing on Wednesday. I found the ALL Fenix LEGGINGS AND SPORTS BRA SET $8 for leggings and $7 for sports bra. Already sold I set for $75
I am amazed that you got all your items photographed that same day you found them. Great job! You can also put your bin number on the listing page while you are making it. "Custom Label (SKU)" is just under the Title. That way you can always go there to find it and see where you stored it.
Wow didn't know that there is a huge market for used items. That is so great and I should get into buy and selling used for myself even. Was just used to buying new, but great deals can be had.
I said that once when Stage Department stores were going out of business. I took all the makeup from their Clinique and Estée Lauder counter on the last day they were open. They were shocked when I said I would take it all. That was a fun haul. I love your idea of the reward system.
Hi Ashley I am new to your channel. You are sooooo blessed to have such incredible brands in your local thrift stores!! Congrats on your new addition & Happy New Year❤️ I have 1 GW & a few other thrift stores here. And, the brands are not good at all!! I Just moved to a beautiful home with wooded privacy & a lake in Crystal River Florida. Basically a retirement town. I feel so blessed but, I NEED SOME KILLER THRIFT STORES to get my business up & rolling. LOCATION LOCATION! Ahhh 😩😩 Thank you for sharing your haul. I know I will be able to learn a lot on your channel!! God Bless!!
So glad I'm watching these old videos because the idea of just taking a picture of the bin you put something in is genius! I definitely struggle with just putting stuff in a pile after photographing it and taking forever before putting it away 😅
You can easily insert a drawstring. You can just get a giant safety pin to string it through. You can use a long shoe lace, put a knot in the ends and cut off the plastic thing at the end
Loving your channel! I’ve literally binged watched about 5 videos🤦♀️. I love you you breakdown everything! It’s so refreshing. Cleaning out my closet! Wish me luck🤗
Fun fact: Del Taco uses Alaska Pollock in their fish tacos which is a good source of lean protein, b vitamins and is a low mercury seafood. This is how I justify eating fast food 😄
Ahhh💡💡 labeling the bins & keeping that reference pic to find it later was a great pickup from this vid... also learned some new brands (new to me) that I now know to keep an eye out for!🤙👍🙏🏼🙌
Ah, thanks for the info - now I know why when I find Old Navy or American Eagle at Ross or Burlington, the label is crossed out with a marker…it’s so we can’t take it to the store. I would never have thought to do that, but now that explains the odd things done to labels at bargain stores.
Impressive haul at the end of the year to increase inventory for the beginning of the new year. I love Chick~fil~A too! Happy New Year to you and your family.
I love how you picked up the mens Zara sneakers AFTER that enormous Sundance score🤣 I would have turned my nose up at them after finding all that Sundance😂😂😂 I would have went from 0 to bougie real quick🤣
I'm terrified of getting into clothes as I've been in the toys/games category for almost 20 years. It's always awesome seeing how much you bank on these!
Those sundance tops are so pretty! 😍😍😁 Btw do you use reusable bags when you shop? Marshalls and TJmaxx will put their reusable bags on sale for .50 cents sometimes. They are perfect for carrying a lot and are very durable for huge shopping trips and not to mention good for our environment 🌎❤ Also I love how brave you are at saying you're a reseller and never hiding your intentions with the clothes ☺ I'm learning how to admit that when I shop sometimes cause it can be scary like how you said in your other video sometimes resellers are seen as bad people when we're not. Most resellers are just everyday people tryna put food on the table. You've inspired me so much to be honest about reselling and theres nothing bad, embarrassing and shamful about it. Thank you so much for being you 🙏❤
Ahh, now I understand why tags, are cut out!! Such a shame but maybe marking the tag with a "GW" to show it was donated might help but might be challenging if there are multiple articles.
I love your challenge videos! Do you have a video or story on IG where you show or share your tools and shooting see up? I’m a small scale reseller and think I could sell more if I revamped my processing of items....especially the photographing part
THAT is a brilliant idea! So simple but literally life changing for me...lol. Taking a picture of where its stored....yes, mam! I will definitely be adopting that little nugget. Thanks:)
Thank you! Such good advice the picture of the bin that you put it in even before you have a chance to list. I also use a similar inventory system but always get caught up on the steps between before fully listed and put away.
What a great haul Ashley👍👍You should get CF twice this week!! You are both getting spoiled with this maternity leave, it’s wonderful, enjoy every minute! ❤️❤️
I bought a storage unit and there was two marmot coats in there they look brand new. I didn't know anything about them my daughter posted on marketplace and they threatened to suspend her account. So we have a quarter auction group on fb and I was wait a min compt the coats out and they go for good money. But I don't do eBay. So I just might to sell those
I was in salt lake a few weeks ago and saw a bunch of Sundance stuff. I didn't like most of it but now I'm curious how it does for you without tags or sizes. I hope you'll let us know!
Bebe does the same thing as what Sundance did. The thrift store I used to go to would just roll the racks to the checkout for me. Usually 3 at a time. Bebe tends to have issues with quality though so you have to go through it very carefully. I made all the money back in one week and after that 💰💰💰!
In my early years of thrifting to resell, I was nervous to tell store employees that I was buying to resell when they asked what I was doing with the cartloads of stuff that I was buying. Now days, I don't give a single crap who knows what I'm doing or if they hear my phone cha-ching while I'm in the store. The prices are going to increase no matter what so who cares! It feels way better to be carefree about it!
Those rock revival and old Bauer are always bank. Seeing a lot of the old stuff get 🔥 again. Tommy Hilfiger Nautica Polo Lacoste etc. Never heard of Sundance. Thinking about doing a East coast thrift trip. Houston seems to be thr capital of thrift world. Nice haul and scores. Do u have a site to buy any of the items?
Awesome finds! Do you pick up miss me jeans and rock revival even when they have a low rise? I’ve been skipping, but I think I’ve been leaving money behind.
I have a background in management at a GW store. It was a small town store with a mostly low-income community. We would get amazing things in donations. We had a lot of resellers visit our store. It was fun. Anyway, I was curious if it was hard to resell clothing with the tag cut out. How do you know the size to list? I’m watching a lot of videos to learn more before I get into reselling. TIA.
I usually take measurements of the item and take an educated guess from there! It actually hasn't put buyers off like I thought it would - they're still selling!
How do you sell/ list an item with a cut out tag? I have a thrift that cuts out tags and they had a ton of princess polly but I didn't get it cause I didn't know if it would sell.
Omgosh you did it !!! I resell plushes and toys & Omgosh you are motivate to jump into clothes but oh man I know nothing about brands !!! But thank you for this video always so inspiring to go harder 😊
Wow - I am so impressed by the high-end brands you are finding! Was it from a Goodwill? I struggle to find anything designer/high end clothing - so I have changed over to mostly toys and collectibles.
I'm amazed the stores around you and the stuff you found. There is a Goodwill near me. I spent an hour there.. all the clothes were low quality brands, not worth much, and I only got about 6 items that I might profit $100 total. Clearly I don't live in an area with decent thrift stores. I'll have to stick with liquidations and estate sales for now... but I will definitely take more time looking at clothes at those sales!
What beautiful clothes! I forget about Sundance. You scored big time! So the thrift didn’t seem to mind about you reselling it sounded like which is great because that store looks to be a honey hole! Enjoy your CFA! I grabbed breakfast there the other morning (spicy chicken strip biscuit, tater rounds, and coffee). I love to order on my app and use curbside! I just got bumped-up to the red tier status! 😂❤️
It would be interesting to know how much you actually sell these items for. Your $40 per item seems very optimistic for pre-owned clothing. How closely do you examine the items you buy? In my experience around a quarter to a third of everything I find has some kind of defect. Stains, fading, missing buttons, loose threads, split seams, you name it.
Great point! I will for sure do a follow-up on this. Luckily all the Sundance items are in brand new condition since they were donated directly from the store! But they still may sell for less than $40. I'm definitely going to keep track and keep everyone posted!
Touched my heart to hear your husband say, "Great haul!". So happy you have such wonderful support. Amazing haul!!!
PS- Nice that your husband supports you and helps out. That makes a big difference also. I wish the best to you both

Man oh man! I go thrifting and see mostly Faded Glory, Kim Rogers, Mossimo, all the cheapies. You found some incredible brands, way to go Ashley!!
Me too!
Same
You ain’t looking hard enough
Thanks for the advice on storage.
Love how far you have come, from your background!👍
Ashley I think you need to up the food rewards. I'm familiar with CFA but hot dogs and tacos? I'd be like filet mignon and cheesecake if I got 100% done. 😊Love your channel!!
🤣 I set the bar low! I wouldn't mind upping the prize to cheesecake though, sounds amazing honestly!
I'd be ok with tacos and beer for a reward
@@cornerclosetshop6199 Lol ok well I'm guessing you're a guy. No offense 🌮🍺

i love the idea of a thrift challenge! also, i agree that abercrombie is making a comeback. they have the cutest coats and neutrals!
Awsome finds. Have you ever done a video on how you photo and list your items. I love the idea of rewarding yourself.

Why not add E03 to your custom sku - then you'll see on your pull list, where the item is to pull.

Do any rock revival jeans sell or does size and style make a difference?
That's really nice idea!
I would love to see a follow up on this video to see how well the Sundance does for you!
When reselling items, do they get washed at all? I always wonder if I start this do we wash all the items?
I'm surprised you found so many jackets and hoodies. . . I'm near Atlanta and I don't find too many coats at thrift stores.

Do you wash everything or only items that needed?
