IS IT WORTH BUYING 2023 TOPPS COMPOSITE FOOTBALL? | MEGA BOX AND BLASTER REVIEW

What's up, everyone! In today's video, we rip into the NEW 2023 Topps Composite Football set with a blaster box and a mega box. This product is brand new for this year, and marks the first Topps football set in over ten years.
But what is inside the box? What can you expect to pull? And what players are actually featured in the set?
We tackle all these questions and more. We paid a hefty $35 for the blaster box, and $70 for the mega box. They surprisingly had several hard pulls in them, capping off with a BIG GOLD parallel. Still, we were left wondering if it is worth opening an unlicensed football product.
We can tell you yes or no, but sharing this can help you make a more informed decision the next time you hit the hobby shop. So let's get into our ratings.
For rippability, this is a double-edged sword. If you are like me (in your 40s), you probably enjoy this product a lot, since most of the players were thriving in our younger years. But for younger collectors, the product can fall flat since it only includes four current players, the top 4 rookie quarterbacks in the 2023 class. So, there is no way around it, for rippability we rate these a 5 out of 10. Without the rest of the NFL stars on the checklist, the product feels unfulfilling even if it includes big names like Tom Brady.
For value, we were pleasantly surprised looking at comps for some of the cards we hit and checking the odds. We hit some nice, harder to hit parallels so that was good to see. There seems to be value there now, but long term... will it hold? We simply don't have an answer for that now and because of that fact, rate these a 6 out of 10 for value. Even with a chance to pull a CJ Stroud autograph, don't think these offer the same upside Donruss Optic or Select football bring to the table.
