That’s the hope we all share! Let’s keep holding onto it and pushing for the revival of projects like this. Thanks for watching and being part of the Shifting News community!
Kenya needs to pass a fiscal and civil liability law in order to prevent this type of situation from continuing to happen in the country, regardless of who is in power... the USA, Canada and Australia already have a law in this regard, where any work started needs a budget forecast with a beginning, middle and end... so the manager is responsible for carrying out the works and needs a schedule.. Another point is that this project needs to be redone and include another lane of traffic on this viaduct so that it has a total of three lanes in each direction.
You raise an excellent point! Implementing such laws in Kenya could truly transform how projects like this are handled, ensuring accountability from start to finish. Thank you for the thoughtful insight, Altentic-we’re thrilled to have supporters like you adding value to these conversations! Let's hope our administration can also use such suggestions in their discussions when making decisions.
This is one project that would have transformed the look of Nairobi for the better! But all we got is an abandoned project and the promising designs of how this ambitious project would have looked like 👀🤔 It’s a shame indeed 😏
Absolutely, this viaduct had so much potential to redefine Nairobi’s skyline and ease traffic. It’s a missed opportunity for now, but let’s hope it gets the attention it deserves soon. Thanks for being part of the Shifting News community-we value your input!
It’s frustrating to see such potential go to waste. Projects like this are meant to transform cities and improve lives, yet here we are-another incomplete venture bogged down by poor planning and lack of accountability. Kenya deserves leaders who prioritize progress over politics. Time to hold them accountable and demand better for our future.
Well said, Walter! It’s disheartening to see such potential wasted due to poor planning and accountability issues. Leaders must prioritize the future of projects like this, as they’re vital for the city’s growth. Thanks for sharing your perspective-it’s time we demand better!
Many Road projects that were funded by the government using Loans are the ones that have stalled and this is one, so we cannot start saying who is to blame. This viaduct cannot be tolled so you cant place it under PPP so as soon as funds are available to the ministry the project will definitely continue listening to what CS Mbadi talked about clearing pending bills in the roads sector you can be possibly expecting this to resume next year unless if you counter check with the Transport Ministry. Something else i should say the Ministry of Transport should on its website be able to be providing information on the status of Roads across the country especially as regards to maintenance schedules and new roads construction, in this digital age that's not much to ask and also ensure they are more accountable to the public.
You bring up some crucial points. Government loans, stalled projects, and accountability are key issues, and having an accessible status update system would make such a difference! Hopefully, some of the measures will bring this viaduct back to life. We hope one day to get to the higher offices to have a conversation with them. Thanks for sharing such a detailed and thoughtful comment-it’s much appreciated!
As things stand, it does feel like a long road ahead! The Ksh. 2.9B question remains-where did the funding and momentum go? Let’s keep the conversation alive as we await. Thanks for watching and engaging!
This feels like the perfect phrase for this situation. Let’s hope we can see some accountability and progress soon. Thanks for always supporting our journey, watching and engaging!
Elections do have consequences. Certain percentage of our Kenyan population, voted for a person whose political resume had lots of RED FLAGS and is openly taking a script from the Nyayo administration with no shame.
Elections definitely have long-lasting consequences. It’s interesting how these decisions shape infrastructure and development in Nairobi. But it is always our wish to get all projects done as long as they have a positive impact to the country. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Bro I’ll be honest with you. I started watching your videos for being on the road and showing amazing views, NOT STALLED PROJECTS. So I think it’s better you focus on being on the road, if you want this channel to grow. Honestly, stalled projects won’t help you
Thanks for the honest feedback! We’ll definitely consider your input as we strive to create content that resonates with our audience. Stalled projects are part of Nairobi’s reality, but road trips and scenic views will remain a big part of our content too. Highly appreciate your continued support and suggestions!
We just hope it will come back to life

If you ask mr Chirchir he will surely give you some insane explanation 😂😂
Haha, the transport CS might indeed have clear information on this! Thanks for tuning in to Shifting News-your support keeps us going!
Has it started again to complete the project
That’s a good question, Wilfred! Unfortunately, the project hasn’t resumed yet, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on any updates. Thanks for tuning in!

It has been like this for many years,,,tooo bad bro.
Too bad indeed, Jack. It’s a shame to see such a promising project in this state for years. Here’s hoping for better days and a change in direction.

@@aaronsichangi6134not feasible only for small minds. Kenya needs leaders with big minds.
Kenya is falling further and further behind in crucial development with all these endless stalled projects. It is a shame.
Those were Uhuru Kenyatta's projects, for those of us in the know, Uhuru Kenyatta was an even bigger thief than Ruto
