- Opening weekend for gun deer season in Missouri is my favorite time to head to Lake of the Ozarks for some dock shooting. This trip did not disappoint.

Thank you for your reply. PS: We use your trolling process from our Tritoon Ranger Fish and Cruise on Lake Shelbyville and just tear them up. Like 50 - 100 every day with 6 to 8 rods out. Many over 12 inches. We have usually 6 people on our boat so 6-8 rods is ok, otherwise Shelbyville only allows 2 rods per person. Thanks again for your videos. John
Another reason to use a fluorocarbon lead is braided line doesn’t feed through those slip bobbers very easily, at least I’ve had problems with it. I use the Thill slip bobbers, but the ones I see, here in Oklahoma, don’t have the brass ring on top, and that probably plays a big part in it! Thanks for sharing the information on your fishing set up! I find it helpful to see what someone like you is fishing with! Thanks for sharing the link in one of your other videos for BnM rod and reels
Great video as always really enjoy your video’s
Enjoyed it as always
Hello Mike, another great video. Did you cut the butt off those six shooter rods. To just make them shorter and easier to handle. Thanks
Yes. Again, my short arms come into play.
what size slip bobber is that?
Not sure.
Awesome video Mike! I feel like every time I go fishing I would get 1 or 2 to bite out of a school of fish like that and than the rest shut down. Do you think minnows it’s something else would trigger them to be more active?
Certainly worth a try.
Or downsizing your bait
This was great for showing how to shootThis is definitely something that I want to learn! Thanks!
Love the vids Mike!
Crappie taste a lot better than deer! Too bad I'm a Crappie fisherman stuck in the corn fields of Central Illinois and the biggest bucks on Earth 🦌
Gave up deer hunting years ago ive got plenty over the years rather be crappie fishing no pontoons no jet fleas no ski boats my favorite time of the year 🎣
Nice video. What brand bibs are you wearing there?
Blackfish.
Nice video Mike. Question, what tackle box (Plano stackable, etc.) do you recommend for Bandit Crankbaits. I continually have a mess with everything I have tried.
Frankly, I haven't found one that doesn't tangle.
nice video, enjoyed watching it. always appreciate the gear set up tutorials
Don't blame you. I would have went fishing too
Enjoyed the video as always and see that you get some good exercise squatting to shoot a dock.
Great video Mike!
Thought I'd mention rod eyes on those slip corks important to buy a rod with larger eyes.
Was thinking the same thing.
If only crappie had antlers.
That would be a hilarious sight up shallow.
