I would love to see a Spider-Man vs. The Sinister 6 movie where each member is from a different universe & their goal is to wipe out every Spider-Man across the Spider-Verse (similar to the finale of the Spider-Man 1994 series). The only way to stop The Sinister 6 would be 12 Spider-Men from across the Spider-Verse teaming up to stop them. The 12 would be Toby, Andrew, Tom, Miles, Peter B., Gwen, Noir, Peni, Ham, Pavitr, Hobie, & Margo. We could finally get some of these characters in live action, & we could see different art styles used for Toby, Andrew, & Tom.

@@jingleballs9935 Yeah the Russo brother directed the banned in Netflix first D&D community episode, which is great. They also directed winter soldier, civil war, infinity war and endgame. In recent times times they directed some other awful movies for Netflix like the gray man or something like that. At least his community work was good.

I don’t know why, but I think in order to make no way homes ending really stick. Peter kinda actually needs to spend a movie all alone, we really need to show what he sacrificed.

I kinda want to see a lonely, sad Spidey who is slowly losing his grip on Peter Parker with no one around to ground him.
Everyone wants a grounded, street level, classic, more serious and adult story with DD and Kingpin. Where Peter feels on his own, as a grown man. Mobster characters like Tombstone. Prowler. Black Cat. Scorpion for good measure. Punisher. Some cameos. That’s it. That’s all we want. Give him an arch that works back in the importance of Peter Parker at the end.

Beating the audience over the head with SpiderVerse after the perfect ending to set up classic full on Spiderman the likes of which we haven’t seen to that degree before; cannot be underestimated. What's really worrisome is actually the rumor of Sony and Marvel having conflict because Marvel wants to return Spider-Man to a more ground street level setting and Sony wants another multi-verse movie because the last one made a billion dollars. Sony really has no idea what would work.
NWH gave Holland the most character development in his entire trilogy and it was the very last film lol, I agree they shouldn't start multiversing anything but it worked out

The film starts with Spiderman wanting everyone to forget that he is Peter Parker, EXCEPT those closest to him, (which goes horribly wrong) and ends with everyone forgetting, INCLUDING those closes to him...
i dont think sony is interested in what works unfortunately, why put out a good movie when they could pump out literally anything with spidermans name on it and make millions. its really unfortunate :/

They need to sit out at LEAST one film. Maybe a single scene on him checking in/stalking them ala Andrew's spying on Gwen. Speaking, why not introduce Gwen in S4.
Street level is also perfect for showing Peter going too far with the Symbiote (we know he’s gonna get it eventually) because when he’s fighting supervillains excessive force is kinda required to make sure they stay down but with common criminals it becomes all the more unhinged.

I could see it working as more that he has to befriend them again. He can't just rely on telling them their past history or doing a 1:1 recreation of how they befriended them because they've all changed and those contexts aren't there but he has to reconnect with them on their new terms.
Bringing back Zendaya would be a horribly calculated misfire that completely undoes one of the best gut-punches from the entire trilogy, and ruin any trust with future emotional stakes.
...so of course Sony's gonna make that happen.

Zendaya brings in the girls so they’ll use her for that audience. I agree with you one of the best things about NWH is that MCU Peter looses everything.
Honestly I hope Sony knows that most of us would be way more hyped to see Spidey interact with Cox’s Daredevil than to watch him see Tobey and Andrew again this early
I agree and I like him with Toby and Andrew but I think they should save their presence for a different project down the line.

I definitely agree with what others have already said that it should be lower stakes than NWH and be more of a street level film. They could maybe have Scorpion as the main villain since we've still never gotten a proper resolution to the post credits scene of Homecoming
Exactly and we could have fights like goblin. It’s not too crazy or cgi filled.
Plus from what Tom Holland described of Peter being full time Spider-Man and rejecting Peter Parker we could get Black Cat’s long awaited debut into live action. She loves spider-man more than Peter which Peter seems to already agree with. Combine that with some street level stuff and we could get a good story.

The funny thing about Joe Johnston is that 'The Nutcracker' is not even really his fault. He was brought on to do reshoots for Lasse Hallestrom, so he was working with a product that was already not in great shape.
It’s not just Spider-Man 4 we need to be great, Deadpool & Wolverine is another movie we also need to be great and succeed too, so we can be guaranteed an R-rated Blade.

I don’t think we’ll have any issue with quality- all of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man movies have been entertaining in some form. But i definitely think this fourth movie should be more of a solo adventure and less reliant on other heroes or… well other nostalgic versions of Spidey.
I really don’t understand how people think that Tom is “too reliant on other heroes” the only hero he was reliant on was doctor strange. Tony only gave him his tech and suit and then took his gadgets away and then on the end he only gave him his suit and nick needed his help not the other way around.
The second movie was horse shit, first one was funny and the character had an arc, the third one fixed the problems brought by the second movie.

With how much of a money-maker Spider-Man is, it’s shocking how infrequently Spider-Man films are released.
Not really. There was gap after the Raimi films, but since then it's been 2012, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023
The next Spider-Man film needs to be an actual solo film, so no supporting superheroes, no crossover cameos for other Marvel characters, and no plots involving aliens. It needs to be a real street level Spider-Man film like what we got with the Rami films. The story might need to take inspiration from the early Ultimate Spider-Man comics and I whoever they pick for the main villain. I hope it's Kingpin.
do audiences even care that much about Hollands Spiderman to actually convince Sony its worth of a film, he has NEVER led a film purely as his own, every single film was piggybacking off of more popular characters and concepts

I’m going to go the other way and say what I’d like to see in terms of plot.
After No Way Home, Peter has lost his aunt, his friends (and everyone else) don’t know who he is anymore. He’d be struggling with loneliness, lack of support and adjusting to his new circumstances while living on his own.
Enter Felicia Hardy, Black Cat. I think she’d be the perfect antagonist to match up with this Peter. She could be introduced as a potential love interest as Felicia and separately a villain in Black Cat, with them being revealed to be the same person midway through. This makes Peter struggle with doing the right thing in stopping her but subsequently losing his only real connection. Perhaps she could even try to persuade/corrupt him to be a bit more flexible with being a hero.
She fits the theme of the story perfectly and her abilities interacting with Spidey’s would create some captivating action scenes.
Don’t have any other Marvel characters to really focus on the dynamics between them.
Sony wanting Tobey and Andrew to return for Spider-Man 4 sounds like a bad gimmick, similar to Marvel Studios considering making another Avengers film with the original team that included reviving RDJ’s Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow. That and those gimmicks could be better saved for Avengers: Secret Wars.
It never made sense that all 3 never got resurrected, seemed a little, lot plot convenient.
Especially when you have the stones of literal creation, inside a gauntlet ready to be used….

I think its also important to note that these newer F&F movies don’t have directors, they have people who are willing to be pushed around by Vin Diesel. I would not count any of these movies as being “his” I think he could absolutely do Spidey justice.
I had my own concerns about Lin directing Star Trek Beyond before it came out, but it turned out to be one of the best Star Trek films ever made. Now, I contribute a lot of that to Pegg's writing and love for the franchise, but Lin did a great job directing too.
All I want is the movie to be grounded. I'd genuinely want the film to adapt the PS4 game over Peter fighting aliens or something. Keep him street level. Also, it would be nice if Gwen was introduced. She doesn't even need to be Spider-Woman/Ghost Spider.

Heres what Sony needs to do. They need to give up with their universe and hand all control back to Feige. Just focus on Spiderverse and Insomniac because thats what they'er best at.

It would be great an Edgar Wright Spider-Man movie. Wright have an unique style of directing that would fitvwell with Spider-Man and Scott Pilgrim proved that he unnderstand comic books. Justin Lin seems like he's the top front runner, and honestly feels like he fits what they want. Pus with Marvel rumors of Fiege getting their way with a grounded/street level movie, rather than a another multiversal movie that Sony wants, seems to be the right direction.
(Honestly, I can see David Leitch also do it, since he's the other half of the first John Wick film directors, with a solid action filmography, did a Marvel themed movie with Deadpool 2, A Fast and Furious movie with Hobbs and Shaw, and a successful Sony movie with Bullet Train. Surprised his name has been rumored since he dropped out of Jurassic World 4).
If there is a Spidey and Daredevil team-up, Chad Stahelski directing that would be crazy!!

Since we're on the topic of rumors, some scoopers have said Feige "won" the battle of making it street level and back to Spidey's roots. Pointing out they're fumbling with their other Spider-Man related, but no Spider-Man involved characters.
Somehow Ultimate Spiderman returned
An issue that I feel the Sony Spiderverse movies are creating is that they are burning through a lot of the potentially interesting villains - having Tom Holland's Spiderman go up against somebody like Kraven or Morbius would be really interesting (especially if the latter plays up the supernatural elements of the character) but I can't see it happening with the Kraven movie looking like a surefire box office disaster and Morbius already being so.
Would love a movie based on the crime world, we haven't seen that side of the character on the big screen yet. It makes perfect sense for him to get a new cast of supporting characters as he moves to college, could bring Gwen in as a love interest perhaps.
I’d definitely prefer a more grounded Spider-Man that was made to be a drama instead of an action comedy. It should be about people and heart instead of spectacle and bad jokes.
The Home trilogy have always had a lot of heart to say it's just spectacle and bad jokes is wrong.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on the fourth film to come. I would love to see a new director do a take on Spider-man myself and I would love to see some new plot twists and maybe some unexpected changes and new characters like Black cat or chameleon or a new Rhino. There’s so much more good Spidey material that’s worth exploring and yes give MJ and Ned a break! They should be gone for at least one movie just to build up the suspense of when they will return. I like your ideas a lot. Although on the subject of Tobey I’m still a little bit back and forth but I do have a great respect for him but I’m unsure how well his story would hold up right now and there’s the tricky matters with his co-cast. Some of whom I’m not even all that interested in but it would be awkward if he were grouped with different people. Anyways yes I want to see something different for the fourth movie and I have your back! I definitely hope that this movie is a success. Come on Sony shape up and figure out a good story already!
Even if we didn’t get a 4th Tom Holland Spider-Man movie. I’m honestly okay with where his character ended. Not saying I wouldn’t want to see him reprise his role of Spider-Man but between Sony and Disney it’s such a giant mess that I would want the next Spider-Man film to be completely separated from the MCU

I think a Spider-Man 4 with Holland seems exciting, but I think No Way Home felt like a great closure for the character. Sad, yes, now that he's all alone and have no one in his life no more but felt kinda conclusive. And a 4th movie with Tobey would be awesome, if done right.
I personally would like to see another Spider-Man Reboot that takes place in the 60s and feel very Comic Booky like the Spider-verse films. I know the upcoming Fantastic Four movie might take place in that time period, but still, it would be amazing!
I'd honestly like to see Drew Goddard get a shot at this film. ahea already ties to the Daredevil Netflix series and also he's had previous experience working on the Sinister Six film.
Back to basics approach for this next one. Get a street level story. Pit Spider-Man against Kingpin and add in Daredevil. Get the guy who successfully started the MCU street level corner with Drew Goddard.

All I want is for Kingpin to be the main villain of the movie, with Kraven or Scorpion to be hired by him to kill Spider-Man and Daredevil. I want Kraven only because he was originally supposed to be the main villain of No Way Home before they settle for the multiverse movie. Or Scorpion because he could be created by the Kingpin to beat Spider-Man, similar to how JJ help fund for Scorpion's creation in the comics.
Also add Black Cat as the love interest, as we never saw in any of the movies, well besides ASM2 but she wasn't Black Cat in the movie. Plus it could add to an interesting dynamic of someone loving Spider-Man and not Peter Parker, especially because no one knows who Peter is.

Counting on Disney to insist on a good script before beginning plans for a new Spider-Man movie seems like an absolutely foolish notion. Disney is not an entertainment company, theyre a bank whi owns a bunch of entertainment companies. And they have no way to view a new Spider-Man movie has anything other than the only chance they've got at a billion dollar box office.

Simon Pegg's script for Beyond was genuinely really good! That's why it felt like a real Star Trek movie rather than the sheer mush that was Into Darkness.

Literally all sony had to do was make good Miles Morales movies that took place in their own universe, then sometimes he crosses over to the main universe like in the comics with Ultimate Miles Morales I don't understand why they didn't do that, maybe Marvel has the rights to dictate Miles Morales' story too right now?

Just going off the rumors, I’m worried that Sony will just want to make NWH 2 and give another bit multiverse movie. Which would feel incredibly cheap and unearned and shows a huge misunderstanding of why NWH was so successful. You can’t just piggy back on something that big and expect it to have the same impact. Starting back at a more grounded spidey story, like homecoming did and building back up to a huge event is the only way this would work.
I want Drew Pearce directing and want it to be street level with Spider-Man working with Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Punisher to take on Kingpin who has recruited Bullseye, Vulture and Scorpion
You mentioning a "man wolf" movie made me laugh....then it immediately terrified me because based on recent trends I can 100% see sony green-lighting a manwolf movie.
I still hold out hope that Sony will become so desperate, they let Sam Raimi make his Spider-Man 4. I doubt it… but a boy can dream lol

Jon Favreau is one those directors that would be good, but I would also like to see get out of the franchise system, and work only on indie films
We really need a street level Spider-Man again. It's what made those Raimi movies great, and they came up with a great setup to do that with the end of No Way Home.
I'm not sure if they are doing multiversal stuff in the Avengers movies like they initially planned with Jonathan Majors, but those Avengers movies would be a good place to give Spidey a potential B-plot (and something to do) with multiverse stuff while keeping his mainline movies street level.
They already established that not only Kingpin exists in that world, but that Matt Murdock is aware of Spider-Man...I'm really hoping they see that stuff through.
Why no mention of Drew Goddard? He’s been rumoured longer than anyone else… ??? Captain?
I’d prefer Goddard out of all these choices based on his writing ability and knowledge of these characters alone.
