To be honest, it would have been awesome to see what the inside of the destroyed castle looks like, mainly to increase the emotional impact of seeing the former longtime setting of the series in it's wrecked state, but I can understand why they didn't, as that would require creating more assets of wrecked rooms in the castle which would probably have taken a while.
