So is Catalyst. They are equally good. If you cannot see that and somehow think otherwise you are factually wrong and prove you have a bad brain and you need to grow a better brain and play the game again and realize ME1 is overrated by blind ignorant braindead haters and Catalyst is really just as good as the first game but even better in a lot of ways. This track is like a breather before the final battle, a glimpse into a warm and calm eternity before returning to a cold and harsh reality, where some things need to be completed. Makes me feel comfortable and a little bit sad at the same time.
The visuals of this game are so different, even tho i played this game 13 years after its release i still get nostalgical of the years it was released in. I used to play the mobile version back in the day. The 2000's were a very magical era. The excitment of new technology coming left and right while still not being too invasive as nowadays. Everything was just new and ground-breaking. This theme sounds exactly like that feeling.
Ahhh how I love Mirrors Edge im gonna listen this to sleep and dream about parkouring free up there in top of the skycreapers and feel the wind and the sun on me.I love Mirrors Edge so much thanks a lot for this!
The game and it's soundtrack helped me alot going through tough times back then, now I'm back at it again, replaying Mirror's Edge and listening to Solar Fields after all my friends burned bridges with me. Loneliness is hard to getting used to.
The Nostalgia cannot be described, the memories are so full of nostalgia, i remember getting Mirrors Edge in 2019 from a guy named Alex, i put the CD in my Xbox and runned it, thats when my memories started, my best memories ever, you deserve more, thank you so much for the memories. We didnt knew we were making memories, we were just having fun.
The artistic sense on this game is something else, very few games capture a atmo this unique and good. There are many examples and most are on the Horror or Sci FI action side... This one however is the only one i know that has feels and art as good as for example a Doom3 but it's actually chill and soothing
The whole soundtrack is incredible, but this piece in particular will always hold a special place in my heart. Also this is a really nice seamless loop - good job!
Merc was dead and you didn't have a home base anymore. The only thing to do now was try to rescue Kate, wherever that might lead you, knowing your adventure was drawing to a close. It was a sad and intense mood, and this music complemented it perfectly 👌
The first Mirrors Edge is an experience like no other. Catalyst is cool too but they decided to make it a Ubisoft game. I’ve been listening to this track for 15 years now.
I've always loved this moment (staring up at the Shard) and the music, but for a bit of an odd reason. I used to be very averse to first-person games because they made me feel uncomfortable (in a weird, motion sickness kind of way), but I gave Mirror's Edge a shot because the game looked so downright cool and awesome to play. Being my first FPS game, I appreciated all the guidance I got from the game itself - every tutorial, every assist, every hint. So when Merc, the voice telling me what to do and accompanying me on this very foreign journey for me all this while, died... it hit hard. I remember just standing there stunned, staring for minutes on end... unable to process that my in-game mentor was no longer around to be by my side. I'll always think of Merc and the next step of my journey into Mirror's Edge whenever I hear this song. It's bittersweet for me. :)
