Thank you! I never read comments to songs, but I happen to think of this song when I woke up and I needed some help this morning to praise The Lord. I listened then for some reason my eyes saw the first review so I clicked on it to read...

Then I read yours and actually opened it up! God is so good! He is using you through the prayer you left. Thank you, I needed that, you have no idea what I am going through, me and my family and I won't take the time bc it's not about me.... It's all about Jesus, it really is! I'm growing in trusting Him no matter what and praising Him through it all, it's a process. The Word of God is full of promises and I know that He is at work in all of this to bring good to those who belong to Him, He will be glorified.

I'm tired of songs that sound nice and atmospheric yet no spiritual depth and biblical basis. Matt songs always carry depth that cuts through the heart. The original version sung by Brandon Lake himself was amazing. This version is good, but the energy from his version was outstanding. I was saddened when they took it down.

Ever since I have gone back to Church, I just feel happy. I held a lot of anger, resent, and anxiety in my body for way too long. I thought something was physically wrong but it was all psychological, probably due to the last year and everything together. Going back to Church after my ten or so year break has lifted me up and changed how I view the world and situations. I'm not longer pessimistic, or as I called it, "realistic," and just simply, angry. I feel happy. And when you feel happy it really makes life so much better. Don't let anger nor hatred run you. It feels so much better to let go and bring happiness to others once you bring to yourself. Don't, don't DON'T spend years of your life with anger! It's taxing and so wasteful, whether you are religious or not!

These are praise songs that should be sang in churches all across the world. Songs that actually praise Him not songs about Him. We need to praise Him always. I like the songs about Him too, but I love the ones that actually bring praise to our loving God.
People have to know Him to be able to praise Him. How can we praise someone if we don't even know them.
Hey Matt, the song "The heart of worship" helped me as a worshipleader 20 years ago alot about the understanding about worshipping GOD in truth and spirit. Today as a Pastor I'm still happy about this prozess. God bless you all with strong gifts of his powerful holy spirit.

Thank you Matt ,I recently travel to Haiti to help 3 kids age 22 and one attacked me out of jealousy for a car. I stabbed near my heart and almost blind but God ,the Lord that I love so much saved me . Your song help me raise my voice high to praise Him because He is always with me. It was my disobedience that led to that. I had every sign that God had said to wait but I wanted to show love to those in need. It was not appreciated. I am ok now, just loving my Savior.

Wow! Not only is this a great worship song lyrically and Matt has to be one of if not the best "lead worshippers", I believe I heard Matt say that is what he wants to be referred to as. But this is such a great song musically. Simple, straight forward, easy to play, solid! I call these type of songs "simple good". Tasty!! As a worship leader sometimes I think we may try to get a little to complicated for what we need to be accomplishing. I remember Chris Tomlin saying he writes his music/songs intentionally simple so that the church can use them. Thanks Matt!!
