Yes I swear by them - I use them a lot! The overwound version is nice too with a little more kick and they make great humbuckers of various flavours too.
Ha ha, yes you are quite right and I do know that - in one of my other videos I talk about the thin plastic insert vs thicker walnut one in US necks. I guess I was just thinking of the dark colour rather than the actual material, vs Squiers and fakes which generally don’t have other - but that’s what I get for rambling on without a script! 🤣🤣🤣

Mexican Fender necks all have black plastic truss rod inserts, not walnut; just like the neck of my MIM '95 Strat Special.
