Hi, Hitachi Solutions Canada! Thanks for a great videos! Can you kindly help us with BI a little bit? Me and fellows trying to pass 20467а Microsoft course, and we have several questions from our instructor that we cannot answer. 1. Where is a point when we have to start applying compression and partitioning on our database? Meaning the exact point, like amount of processor time or memory capacity that is not enough? 2. How can view improve the performance of queries? Cause most of articles that we`ve checked on the web says that view is organizational tool, but our instructor wanna hear how and when we can improve the performance of queries into data warehouse using partitioning, compression and views.
i am business analyst and i had worked for top companies of USA in MORTGAGES retail trade and i want to know more and gather more information for my business and please update me with more videos and tools.
Interesting. I have just bought for the first time a new brand of coffee. Now, if the company had depended on past historic data only they would have sent me loads of offers on my old brand. However, if they had realised that I 'thought' it was a cheap variety they would have realised how I was getting more open to alternatives - my committment to the brand (as opposed to loyalty) had weakened. With that perception data they could have moderated their BI.
Thank you for making this informative video. I wholeheartedly agree with you. Technology is rapidly evolving. We continue to be concerned about new developments. Every small Indian enterprise and company requires software that BI can develop quickly. Although there are many web solution providers in India, among them, I find "Zubizi Web Solutions," a Web solution provider that is really very good to supply the first accounting software enabling BI in India. I believe that by providing this type of inexpensive and extremely simple software solution, every small company and business can grow faster by reducing accounting and operational complexity.
Hi abdullah saleh , Glad you liked the video. Our talented graphic designer Lane used various programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and the voice is one of our HR personnel, Teresa. I'll let them know you are a fan!
+Kgomotso Mabena depence if you want to develop or if you want to be a user of a BI system. Java Developer for example would be the technical field of studies, because you have to create multidimensional databases (mOLAP = multidimensional online analytical processing), in so called data-cubes. Through them you get ad-hoc-analysis and dashboards (on-time data). The data is extracted from CRM, ERP and other systems. Mostly the users are business / market anylist, accounting and finance employees.
Equilibrium1504 Thanks for the response. So basically it would have to be an IT major course? I am considering a Bachelor of Commerce in Informatics which majors in Business Administration, Financial Accounting and Information Technology. Do you think it has potential or its a waste of time for this field of BI?
+Kgomotso Mabena Well, our programmer studied system engineering (diploma) in order to have the right skills to develop the tools of BI. What you are supposing is more like what i did and i am the user of BI in this case.
Equilibrium1504 Thanks again for your response. Okay I think I understand the difference now, so the system engineer will develop the BI tools then you use it. However i'm confused in that what becomes your title as the user of BI tools? Reason why I am trying to get clarity is because I got interested in this field because i am good with numbers and analyses and therefore i want to be the person in the process who receives surveyed data and analyses it, and makes sense of it and presents it as useful information, but in a business improvement environment.
+Kgomotso Mabena If you want to be the person that makes the analysis of the data then you could study for example Bachelor of Arts in Accounting & Finance, in order to present the results to the upper management. The management usually comes from the field of business administration like you supposed above. So both suggestions (mine and yours) would be the fields of studies in general, in order to be user of BI. In some companies the finance department is preparing the results, in others the management itself. Depends on the structure of the organisation.
So basically a vacuum cleaner seller... except the client is the marketing branch... and the vacuum is actually a creepy collection of customer's data.
Best explanation of BI ever
