    Wow!!! UC Berkeley Regents, you must be very smart!!!
    Girl, pack your things and go!!! It's Berkeley!!!
    I'm so envious, but it's okay I got into UofChicago. But Berkeley has always been my dream school and I would have taken EECS there if I got accpeted.

    congrats on tech! i applied early action too and am going to be a second year this fall! don’t know where you ended up committing to but i make videos on my genuine college experience at georgia tech, so if you have any questions let me know or check some of my videos out! if you ended up going to another university, my videos still could be helpful for general college advice. wishing you luck on freshman year!

    My son was just accepted to Harvey Mudd! He’s also a finalist for the President’s Scholars Program scholarship (full ride). We are so excited for him. He’s still waiting to hear from USC, Stanford, Columbia, and Cornell. Were finances a big part of your decision to go to Cal? Unfortunately we are not CA residents so UC schools were not an option money wise.

    • @Cutieyami
      @Cutieyami  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Congrats to your son, and best wishes for future decisions! Finances was definitely one of the most important factors in my decision; although Harvey Mudd was a top choice, the school lacked a specialized a Bioengineering program, which was, otherwise, provided in Cal Engineering. This was also combined with the Regents scholarship aspect, which made Cal the most financially and academically favorable option (among other program benefits/priorities).

    Congratulations on your acceptances!! My daughter is a Senior at Harvey Mudd in Engineering. I can’t say enough about how much we love it there!!! I can’t wait to go to graduation next month. I went to UCLA, and I love it, but knowing now what I didn’t know then, I would go to Mudd. Good luck with whatever you decide- you can’t lose. Enjoy every minute!!

      Quite seriously, I think she'll be much better of if she'll be heading to Berkeley. She has Regents from Berkeley. That is something that will never be taken away from her resume and portfolios. That's quite a feat. All the major employers will value it very, very highly. She'll have access to the best professors. She can take any class she wants. She has priorities in enlistments, housing, and research conducted by the best researchers in the world. That is something she can't get if she'll be going to Mudd and such small schools or LACs. She'll be quite valued if she'll apply for her grad studies anywhere. Harvard, MIT and Stanford grad schools love to house Berkeley Regents grads. The data I've seen said it so.

      @momof2in1year 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Respectfully, Harvey Mudd has one of the top, if not the top ROI ranking in the country. I am very familiar with Regents Scholars... I was a Regents and an Alumni Scholar at UCLA. How about you?

    • @rotneder2814
      @rotneder2814 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@momof2in1year Honestly, I wasn't accepted to Berkeley for EECS. It was my top choice. I personally like it more than Stanford's because when I visited I was totally impressed by the program, facility and the people there. But it's okay because I will be attending UofChicago but for Computational and Applied Mathematics. I also got into UCLA but without Regents. If I get Regents at UCLA, I'll probably pick it over UofChicago.

    • @rotneder2814
      @rotneder2814 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@momof2in1year With regards to ROI, I think you need to dig it in more. Mudd will compare well when you'll pit it against the whole of Berkeley. Even against Harvard or Stanford. The misnomer is that Mudd is a tech-related school so it makes sense. But when Mudd is compared to Berkeley College of Engineering alone, it pales in comparison, though not by much. Berkeley engineers actually earn the highest. Their EECS grads register salary rate the highest in the nation. Yes, Berkeley EECS grads make more than those from MIT and Stanford. I've seen the data when I was applying. :)

    Why does it matter if 2 people from your HS got in somewhere? Are colleges really THAT aggressive with geographic diversity?

    • @Cutieyami
      @Cutieyami  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Private schools, especially ones with particularly small student bodies like Mudd, don’t usually accept several people from the same school. Just an observation!
