Until we get NG+, the “hidden” endgame content (time-killer) after story, is upgrading your weapons and armor to max level, with amazing mods and having multiple max level builds suited for each playstyle(class). Also, aforementioned above, you can cheese through crafting the most expensive ammo types in the game for FREE by using the hunter class ability, Power Shots, to refill the ammo type currently selected on your current weapon, then send that ammo to the stash! Rinse and repeat! Easy work of “crafting” all the ammo you need for blastslings, tearblast ammo, advanced arrow types, and spike thrower ammo
@@kntbotmurderhornet8357 Please elaborate on the Power Shots valor surge. Does it keep refreshing your ammo even if you don't shoot any arrows? How to mass produce ammos exactly? Do you just stand in front of your stash, activate the valor surge and keep putting ammo in?
The arena was an amazing place to get weapons from, I only need the final Legend Battle to have complete everything, Thanks for your videos, which has helped me 👍
Me: *killing machines every time I see them no matter what variant* Also me: “why in the fuck are they all so strong and aggressive every time I see them now” 🤣
With regard to The Great MRE, you say you’ll “only need one shellfish claw and that will be a game changer!?” Well that’s just plain wrong! YOU just needed 1 because you already had 1 and already had the 3 jungle bird wings that are also required. So that’s 5 items that are required, not just 1. So it’s definitely NOT a game changer! I made 3 of these and it took me an average of 15 minutes to get the required ingredients. So if you wanna go in with 4 of these ready, that’s an hour of grinding to do to get the stuff.
Yea, I experienced that too with the arena. Wanted that legendary hunter bow and you said to get it you had to do the coliseum thing and that its pretty easy. At the time i was level 20 or so and i figured id start having issues later on in the challenges but about 20 seconds into the FIRST challenge I realized i stood no chance and had to get better gear. Maybe switch the recommendation on that cuz i went out of my way to get to the area and do all the quests to do it only to realize i wasnt powerful enough.
Great VIDEO ... I used shock arrows in most of the cases because it was more useful to use it with the hunter bows and the triple notch, group machines and finished them with the skykiller. There is also a spot perfect to kill an Apex Dreadwing all alone in the south part of the coast region in small beach near a campfire.
I will give you fastest way to take off all arena items. Open settings, set damage to machines to "story" and go into a nice ride through all arena stages.
Damn that’s a lot of good, helpful information. Seems sorta wrong that these mechanics aren’t better explained, though I give em credit for making an effort at least. HFW has more tutorials & explanations than a lot of games. Anyway thanks for the info dude, appreciate it.
Yeah, in the first section 99% is only ‘Selling For Metal Shards’, except they also put ‘Processed Metal Blocks’ in there, which you do need for some crafting/upgrades!
@@Simplystimulating Wish I could advise, but I'm only just venturing out into the Forbidden West 'proper' myself. At the moment, I'll keep about 6 of most things and sell any excess above that. Also, if there's a hard to get component for an upgrade and I find it at a Merchant, I'll often buy more than one in case it's needed again for another. HTH
Let me tell you how to do the Arena right: Set the game to Story mode>Done. I was struggling with the first challenges on Normal, set it to Story for the first time in 45+ hours, not even 40 minutes later I had completed all the challenges up to Legendary at level 29 (and there's Apexes lvl 40+ in there) and farmed all the tokens, bought the entire Arena shop and even had about 30~ spares left. I just had a purple bomb slinger with advanced exploding bombs, every encounter was 1 bomb = 1 kill, it's literally busted. I know that some will think this is too cheesy but in less than 24 hours I'm going to dive into Elden Ring for weeks to no end completely forgetting how to play this game, so today I'm just getting all the goodies to set me up for success when I'll came back later in March having completely forgotten how to play this :P
@JorRaptor Is there any chance you could do at least one video breaking down Best Gear for each of the 4 play styles / trees? In my case for instance, I'm really most into Stealth in my play style. Not many people are and so most 'best gear' ends up being about warrior or hunter. I'd really love to see what gear can be had that boosts Stealth and maybe this could be done for the other less-used trees as well. Thanks for considering! Love your videos! You're the best out there! ^_^
The best I found was the Utari one, it is purple/very rare level and has at least 3 bonuses for stealth.. I apologize for not exactly remembering the name but I believe you get it from doing Zo's quest. There is also a gorgeous red carja armor that you definitely want if your grinding for parts and shards. It boosts both of those at the same time.
@@chrissyce5613 I've seen that one in listings (I play reeealllly slow) - Utari Harvester. That looks like the first set I'm aiming for beyond the ones JorRaptor is naming otherwise :)
JorRaptor I can’t switch my renegade warrior bow to spread shot technique. I’ve unlocked it on the skill tree but it won’t allow me to switch on the weapon wheel with d pad. Very frustrating
I find the arena awesome because honestly, for a lot of people this is all they want. They don’t really care about in-depth story, they just wanna take down badass robots.
I beat the game on Normal difficulty, and months later, I went back and tried the arena challenges, and I just got destroyed without adjusting the difficulty settings. I wanted to obtain those legendary items, and I ended up having to lower the difficulty to Story in order to do it. I cleared the first few on Normal difficulty just fine, but starting with the third challenge with the Spikesnouts and Rollerback, I could not clear it, and even if I did, the challenges that followed were just way too insanely hard for my skill level, especially once they brought in all those Apex machines.
I've beaten a few arena levels, but I need better gear before I can take on any more. I don't have enough variation on the elemental effects; no plasma, weak acid weapon, etc. Not to mention my armor is pretty weak as well. Sucks, because I want to take on the arena more.
i think apex spawns are correlated to single days too. i mean when i made it night one time, i wouldn’t get an Apex slaughterspine after 20+ tries. i fast forwarded to the next day, and got only apexes that night. I dunno, could help someone who was as frustrated as I was!
The Locked Loadouts for arena challenges are absolutely brutal on ultra hard. I don't know if ill ever be able to complete them unless i first cheat them on a lower difficulty and then try it on v hard with the best gear
My brother in christ, I cant even get the medals for all the fixed loadouts after tremortusk tussle on normal. I can't even imagine how you're doing it on ultra hard.
drinking game: watch all of jorraptor's hfw videos und drink a shot everytime he tells you complete the broken sky main mission and the main mission that follows
For the dreadwing site, you have to just keep killing the standard dreadwings, I figured that out the hard way, I was trying to upgrade my Oseram Artificer and one of the upgrades costs two dreadwing primary nerves, and five metal fangs. I kept killing the level 26 dreadwings, when all of a sudden, there's a level 40 son of a b*tch who whooped my a*s.
Question for you concerning the computer over rides and purified ammo. I finished the game and did all the side quests but not the arena, combat 'arenas" and racing. I am missing about 6 over rides and never even got any of the purified ammo types to unlock for me. The update made my skills I had chosen disappear and I couldn't find a way to reset them so I am starting a new game instead of going back to look for them. Any ideas on what I missed game wise? The game gave so many weapons and armors for free I never bought any except for one purple weapon and Carja armor that increased harvesting parts and shards for grinding. Honestly, Boomer's weapon and hunter arrow was all I needed to do the last main quest. Edit: I have a brain injury that makes it hard to play 3rd person and do anything else including watch vids or even tv. 3rd person games are incredibly hard for me to play so I have to 'retrain' my brain to do it so I have not been able to find any written information on where to get all ammo types or basically anything so any help would be great. Bethesda manages to make great rpg and open world games that are playable in 1st or 3rd person so I'm not sure why other companies don't do it.
You have to get a lancehorn circulator first, then go to the hunting grounds at The Raintrace where you trade the circulator for a purgewater hunting bow. If you could specify any other questions I’ll happily help you out man.
If I understand you correctly you need help finding parts for overrides right? If you tell me what parts you need I’ll find out where you can find them
Some of the very rare weapons are actually better than legendary ones like the glowblast sharpshot bow and vindicator spike thrower and the icestorm boltblaster
Is it possible to beat the slitherfang in arena on very hard difficulty? Like i am determined to play the entire game on very hard but it just seems impossible without my build, the build they provide is trash
You can find many bows with fire or acid arrows, but I don’t think you can get plasma arrows until further into story progression, or by unlocking the “Forgefall” sharpshot bow from the arena for 80 arena medals. If you loved elemental bows in Horizon Zero Dawn, “The Sun Scourge” legendary hunter bow is a must have! Complete every bandit camp in the game, as well as the mission granted upon completing the final bandit camp, to be rewarded this amazing beast. Small elemental payloads followed by massive elemental buildup for fire, ice and acid arrows. Happy Hunting!
⚠️ I can always count on you, JorRaptor, for the best HORIZON content. Will you post a best photo compilation for this new game, like you did with Zero Dawn? 😁
Holy heart Batman! I was on autopilot when selling and looking only at the description of the item which said 'selling for shards' even on the apex variant heart. Not nice Guerilla!
Am I the only one who thinks that the haptic feedbacks controller don’t live up the hype. When you play Astro playroom you can literally feel everything the snow sand on the bitch and this horizon also has those things too but it feels like a normal controller only with resistance trigger. I know not everyone cares about that but if you play Astro playroom you know how good the controller feels in those environments so why can’t we get it in a PlayStation Sony blockbuster game like that 😂
Played the Arena on story mode just to get all the legendary gear, I prefer hunting machines out in the wild than in the arena but I understand people like fighting machines I just do it in the open world 😜
Imma be honest, I never use potions or food, and I might just lower it to story mode to get it over with. Unless I go through the last mission and just be done (heard there was no new game plus anyway). Arena is insanely hard. I mean, Amateur is bullshit, especially the slitherfang. People do it in 50 seconds, but I struggle to do it in 7 minutes.
I was like 30 lol. I limit myself 3 hrs max a day. I think I’m around 47 hrs so far and only level 38 ish. But I’m literally doing all side quest as I go.
Eh, I'm gonna want to at least get thru enough of the Arena to buy the Death Seeker Hunter Bow and that Nora armor you recommended, meaning I won't be even close to where I need to be to get a lot of the weapons you recommended using.
Trying to make the great MRE - can not find 'jungle bird wing' anywhere....I've gone to the spot on the map where the quest to find it says but can only find ducks which don't drop the jungle bird wings.... anyone??

Also the more you kill the regular version of the Machine the more apex machines show up of the that machine.
I subscribed back after finishing the game, i knew this is the best channel when something related to horizon
The arena was an amazing place to get weapons from, I only need the final Legend Battle to have complete everything, Thanks for your videos, which has helped me 👍
Me: *killing machines every time I see them no matter what variant*
Also me: “why in the fuck are they all so strong and aggressive every time I see them now” 🤣
Apex machines also become more common the more you defeat the normal variant of the specific machine
I'm already doing the black boxes and doing every sidequests possible whenever I reach a main quest
On arena just set difficulty to story get all medal in 1 hour then switch back to hard again after buying all weapon
I love the ice arrow so useful and the lightning arrow so lifesavers
What are the best coils and weaves for these legendary armors and weapons?
Yea, I experienced that too with the arena. Wanted that legendary hunter bow and you said to get it you had to do the coliseum thing and that its pretty easy. At the time i was level 20 or so and i figured id start having issues later on in the challenges but about 20 seconds into the FIRST challenge I realized i stood no chance and had to get better gear. Maybe switch the recommendation on that cuz i went out of my way to get to the area and do all the quests to do it only to realize i wasnt powerful enough.
I finished the arena using Sharpshot Braced shot which does almost one hit.
In story mode u can literally one hit most enemies with braced shots and it is hilarious
Oeh thanks for sharing
I will give you fastest way to take off all arena items. Open settings, set damage to machines to "story" and go into a nice ride through all arena stages.
hey guy what outfit is he wearing at 5:13?
Slitherfang is not on that map location you showed. It must be quest gated. It does not show up until some main quest is completed.
Hello! Great video jorr! I would like to know if ure planning to do a videos about weapon coils, the best ones, farming coils ecc....thx!
I used mostly using the the legendary exploding spike thrower in these challenges
The arena part saved my a*s, I was stuck really early on, I'm just gonna spam my advanced explosive spikes.
Damn that’s a lot of good, helpful information. Seems sorta wrong that these mechanics aren’t better explained, though I give em credit for making an effort at least. HFW has more tutorials & explanations than a lot of games. Anyway thanks for the info dude, appreciate it.
Game: "Items in the VALUABLES TO SELL section are always safe to sell"
Also game: *puts apex hearts in the valuables to sell section*
oh
What else shouldn’t I sale??
Yeah, in the first section 99% is only ‘Selling For Metal Shards’, except they also put ‘Processed Metal Blocks’ in there, which you do need for some crafting/upgrades!
@@steveNCB7754 I haven’t sold metal blocks I remember those were important from the last game. So apek hearts blocks are important and what else?
What is the name of the outfit you are wearing? Looks awesome! I might have missed it being said.
Ultra short with the blast forge is insane you can one shot every small Machine but with bigger machines use sustain burst(I hop this helps)
This is just what I needed! Thanks man!
Any idea how to find the Apex Slitherfang? Does your level and game progression matter for Apex variants?
@JorRaptor Is there any chance you could do at least one video breaking down Best Gear for each of the 4 play styles / trees? In my case for instance, I'm really most into Stealth in my play style. Not many people are and so most 'best gear' ends up being about warrior or hunter. I'd really love to see what gear can be had that boosts Stealth and maybe this could be done for the other less-used trees as well. Thanks for considering! Love your videos! You're the best out there! ^_^
I’d love to see him try stealth/critical hit armor and a load of smoke bombs in the arena 😂
The story lost me totally in the first game and again in this one. Way too much techno babble for me tbh. Great game tho.
Is there any news on new game plus?
Love your horizon videos
i think apex spawns are correlated to single days too. i mean when i made it night one time, i wouldn’t get an Apex slaughterspine after 20+ tries. i fast forwarded to the next day, and got only apexes that night. I dunno, could help someone who was as frustrated as I was!
yeah bro actually i just maxed out the arena early game you might ask how i put it into story mode 😂😂
I got apex dreadwing heart randomly during one mission. For me apex variants spawn randomly during day/ night
drinking game: watch all of jorraptor's hfw videos und drink a shot everytime he tells you complete the broken sky main mission and the main mission that follows
BRB. GRABBING ANOTHER BOTTLE
Or every time he says "arrmore"
I beat every challenge with just traps more not in 30sek every challenge was done
No one has special Ed new for sale. Wally world, gamestop, amazon and best buy. Some individual sellers do, but of course they charge double.
Do you play on performance mode?
Still need that mod video for the weapons and outfits. There seems to be no legendary mods besides the ones the vendors sell.
Weapon mods on the correct weapons mixed with specific valor surges and weapon abilities will be the true discovery of end game
Yeah im still waiting for the mod tips outside of the vendor ones too craving more damage!!
For the dreadwing site, you have to just keep killing the standard dreadwings, I figured that out the hard way, I was trying to upgrade my Oseram Artificer and one of the upgrades costs two dreadwing primary nerves, and five metal fangs. I kept killing the level 26 dreadwings, when all of a sudden, there's a level 40 son of a b*tch who whooped my a*s.
lmfao
Hey, someone know where to find the suit of the state of play gameplay?
Can you please!!! Please!!! Make a video of the best non legendary weapons. How and when to get them?! Please!!!?!!!
Is there a way to get back armor that was sold?
How to get that white dye for legendary winter weave
Are there any war machines that you fight?
I’m so glad I never sold any hearts, I remember having this feeling that they have some sort of importance so always avoided selling them 😂
What difficulty do you play on?
I’ll find out for you
You have to get a lancehorn circulator first, then go to the hunting grounds at The Raintrace where you trade the circulator for a purgewater hunting bow. If you could specify any other questions I’ll happily help you out man.
If I understand you correctly you need help finding parts for overrides right? If you tell me what parts you need I’ll find out where you can find them
Do you still need help?
Some of the very rare weapons are actually better than legendary ones like the glowblast sharpshot bow and vindicator spike thrower and the icestorm boltblaster
You know can do the arena on story difficulty to make it easy like the hunting grounds thing
Anyone on here hear about any dlc? I am eagerly awaiting that announcement. How long did it take them last time? A month or two maybe?
Is it possible to beat the slitherfang in arena on very hard difficulty? Like i am determined to play the entire game on very hard but it just seems impossible without my build, the build they provide is trash
I have all the very rare weapon's from the arena as well
THANKS ALOT FOR STORMBIRD LOCATION!!!!!!!
What should I buy first in the Arena?
How do i get plasma arrows, fire arrows, and the acid arrows. Is there a certain type of bow I need ???
Wow that's really awful that apex hearts are sorted into valuables and aren't even indicated as used for upgrading gear... I've sold so many...
Am I the only one who thinks that the haptic feedbacks controller don’t live up the hype. When you play Astro playroom you can literally feel everything the snow sand on the bitch and this horizon also has those things too but it feels like a normal controller only with resistance trigger. I know not everyone cares about that but if you play Astro playroom you know how good the controller feels in those environments so why can’t we get it in a PlayStation Sony blockbuster game like that 😂
Played the Arena on story mode just to get all the legendary gear, I prefer hunting machines out in the wild than in the arena but I understand people like fighting machines I just do it in the open world 😜
Sorry my phone made me dislike the video first but k switched it to like kept it up with the videos your tips really help me out :)
Is anyone else having a problem with the melee pits? I can't get any of them to load. The screen goes black but never loads.
If you have pre ordered armor or spear in your inventory it glitches out. Put them in your stash and try. Worked for me 💪🏿
@@snoopyt05 thank you soooo much. I switched out my spear and now it works. I'm now doing the tutorial for it at level 50.
I was like 30 lol. I limit myself 3 hrs max a day. I think I’m around 47 hrs so far and only level 38 ish. But I’m literally doing all side quest as I go.
What warrior now is the best??
Eh, I'm gonna want to at least get thru enough of the Arena to buy the Death Seeker Hunter Bow and that Nora armor you recommended, meaning I won't be even close to where I need to be to get a lot of the weapons you recommended using.
The arenas arent timed are they?
Trying to make the great MRE - can not find 'jungle bird wing' anywhere....I've gone to the spot on the map where the quest to find it says but can only find ducks which don't drop the jungle bird wings....
anyone??
what about coil? how and where can you farm some coils
my arena is bugged after i kill the machines nothing happens no end so it goes on forever? don't know what to do
Can anyone explain why some weapons have two same elemental symbols with different values but one will have a little arrow pointing up?!
Listen to all your tips on zero dawn now back for forbidden west legend! Once finished with forbidden west going to get elden ring so i will be back for your tips
Man it telling you apex hearts are only worth selling is frustrating. Not the biggest deal but I really hope they change that. Have definitely sold some cause it said that was all they were used for
