Ok, this is surreal-- When you flew past Bielerhöhe, I was wondering why that name was so familiar. So I went back over that part of the flight. I have literally stood on the peak that you climbed a thermal over -- almost every summer from 2013 to 2018 I stayed in the Saarbrücker Hütte right at the foot of the Kleiner Litzner with groups of international students, hiking up to all those peaks accessible from the hut including the one you thermal over-- You're literally flying just a couple hundred feet above one of my favorite places in the world! I'm continually astonished to see you flying over places in Switzerland that I've only seen from foot or bike; really fascinating change of perspective... (OK I'm done fanboying but it's really exciting to see this stuff and say "Hey! That's my place!!!)
Far out! some of the crossing look really scary! Well done, i just discovered your channel now, thanks for sharing all your knowledge. Hope i Can fly with you one day in your Home town..
Hey Sebastian, really cool videos! Just got my license a couple of days ago and I aspire to fly like you some day in the future 😃! I think your videos will help me improve over the years. I would love a video on your set-up (glider, harness, instruments other useful stuff) and experience what works well etc. Cheers and happy landings
I'm not too gear prone, as instrments I use my phone and a XC Tracer mini. I can recommend a peeing tube for longer flights! Also I wear big mittens to keep my fingers warm. Hope that helps!
Servus Seb, a great flight and a great video once again. I guess you agree with me, for flights like this you need good weather and thermal forecast tool. Which tool do you use? How do you recognize a good XC day? Thanks in advance for your answer.
That would be an entire video on its own! I use the cosmo model from meteoschweiz. For the wind i look at the 800m above ground map, cloud and rain are nicely represented in the map and for the thermals i look at the previ temps. Whatever forecast you use, it is important to consistently look at it and compare it to the actual conditions, so you can learn what it means when the forecast says this or that...
Hey! I was wondering if you could tell us what camera you use/how you edit it/what your preferences are to get the hyper laps effect that works so well in these videos. I know that that is something I would love to be able to do for myself.
Super Flug Sebastian.
What a Nice 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Congratulations for this magnífic job, greeting from Italy
Racing the chriegel line! Thanks for putting the annotations in here as well, it helps a lot :)
Merci seb
Hell yea !!! Best to watch when weather is shitty cause the addiction needs fuel

what a flight! Congratulations
Habe gerade auf Xcontest deinen 359km Flug vom 15.5.2022 gesehn… what a beast! Congratulations! Hoffe wir sehen demnächst ein Video davon 🤩.
amazing production as always, the area before Chur can be also tricky due to strong valley wind if one isn't high enough.
This is so clearly told and visually readable, it is truly well done. Bravo Sherry Thevenot
How cool is that I’m jealous
Nice experience sharing.
Very cool! Always a pleasure to watch these videos with good explanations. I'm only starting XC, so these are a great help.
Amazing video
The way you filmed it helps bring into perspective the distance you can travel with just wind ... awesome video

@@sebastianbenz5336 If you could ever make a video showing you going over the forecast before one of your flights then that would be very interesting.

Yes, all the answers are in the video! In short: i use a 360 cam (insta 360 oneR) on a selfie stick.
@@sebastianbenz5336 thank you! I love the content! Makes me want to fly further faster higher!!!
Hello how safe is paragliding actually? I want to do it but i am super scared of heights and ehm i want to stay alive lol
