"Good As I Been To You" rested in my cassette player for MONTHS & MONTHS upon original release. Bob Dylan at his most elemental & profound since his first album. Of course, the follow-up "World Gone Wrong" was an extension of this album and is arguably even GREATER as a whole. 😃
Thanks for the Bob Dylan review, Mike. I bought the same Dylan album but have not listened to it yet. Gives me hope that they will do World Gone Wrong on SuperVinyl too. The Mo-Fi Dylan albums and SACDs have all been really great so far. I didn't buy The Basement Tapes or Before the Flood releases since the source material is fairly poor to begin with and I didn't feel that Mo-Fi probably could improve on those much. Here are my 2024 Record Store Day interests so far: * indicate must haves but I'm going to have to find a way to pare down that list - and I'm running out of space! Fifteen must haves? Yikes! I'm more than a little concerned about the sound quality on The Doors box set. The sound quality on the Black Friday RSD Doors release was not all that great. The Amboy Dukes: Journey to the Center of the Mind * Chet Baker/Jack Sheldon: In Perfect Harmony: The Lost Album * David Bowie: Waiting in the Sky (Before the Starman Came to Earth) The Cranberries: Bury the Hatchet * The Doors: Live at Konserthuset * Dr. John: Gris-Gris Gumbo Ya-Ya: Singles 1968-1974 Bill Evans: Everybody Digs Bill Evans * Astrud Gilberto: That Girl From Ipanema Chris Isaak: Beyond the Sun * Elton John: Caribou 50th Anniversary * Shelly Manne: Jazz From the Pacific Northwest Charles Mingus: Reincarnations * The Alan Parsons Project: Pyramid "Work in Progress" Pearl Jam: Dark Matter The Roches: The Roches * The Rolling Stones: The Rolling Stones * Linda Ronstadt: The Asylum Years * Todd Rundgren: Todd Gil Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson: Winter in America * The Jazz Dispensary: The Freedom Sound! * The Who: The Story of The Who * Neil Young and Crazy Horse: Fuckin' Up *
Thanks Michael, I do have before the flood and it is not very good, great music but sq is not nearly as good as the rest of the Bob Dylan albums MOFI has done. Great list of albums. I am curious about the Neil Young and Alan parsons albums, I will likely add them to my list. Thank you!!
