Great video Asa. You should do another video of the restaurants further down and the old town. People miss out on so much of Benidorm by not exploring further than the Strip.
I just randomly found this channel! I’m a huge fan of the show and my cousin was on it for a couple of seasons. TH-cam must know I’ve been binge watching the show lately to suggest your channel but I’m glad it did

Great video. Back again in November and then again in March. Its a resort of so many variables parts of the old town are very traditional and show the towns fishing post roots. New town still has plenty of variety and some of the best 'free' (ok you'll pay a bit for a drink) entertainment. The prom and beach are in my opinion unrivalled.

I've been to Benidorm a couple of times and love the place like you say you never know what you are going to see that but I found this video very interesting and some really good advice from somebody who lives in Benidorm. I hope this video helps people who want to go to Benidorm for a holiday I did a few videos myself when I was there and people seem to find them very handy

'The old town is a completely different side of Benidorm' .. it's full of fantastic gay bars, traditional spanish bars, cafes, restaraunts , no hen or stag parties. In other words it's a huge part of Benidorm.

1: do you remember a pub in the pedestrian area called " Wishing Well british Pub " ? My aunt and uncle owned that place many years ago. If so, do you have any video?
Bloody hell was that the Riudor hotel one the left like 5:15... I was there in 1988 on a lads holiday....which turned out to be my last ever holiday to Benidorm. I remember there was a night time security guard who wore them pilot sunglasses at night and suddenly appear from the dark if anyone was near the pool late at night...very creepy. And that Talk Of The Coast... Did it used to be called Talk Of The Town back in the late 1980s?.... I also remember Sticky Vicky and Top Of The Pops bar....the water park....and Elvis with his "88" comeback special at the Benidorm Palace....fun memories.

I didn't know about the indoor market, but all those bars and that area I prefer to avoid. My favourite parts of a Benidorm holiday didn't get a mention. Benidorm Island, boat trips, the old town, Albir and Altea, which are beautiful, Benidorm Palace, the beaches, Aqualandia, Terra Mitica. Benidorm has a reputation of being tacky, but there's a lot of places to go and things to see which are definitely not tacky. Just avoid that area in the video, unless you're after pubs and loud music 😃
I love all the areas you mentioned but cabaret and karaoke bars are my kryptonite and why I goes to Benidorm twice a year rather than exploring anywhere else. (Usually stay in the new town in Spring because after winter I just need a pool and few drinks and old town in Autumn as it's my wedding anniversary and we recreate our honeymoon when we went to Benidorm) xx

Oh dreamy. For the last 10 years I have been going to Benidorm in average twice a year including for my 30th, my hen, my mums hen, my best friends hen and my honeymoon. I even plan to retire to Benidorm! So it means a lot to me And my God I have missed it during Covid, so finding myself watching all your videos and the TV show and getting butterflies 😂 Fingers crossed everything is back to normal in November when I'm due back for fiesta 😊 xx

@@Tristan-ni8wz it's a home away from home that's why I like it. When I go away I like entertainment and karaoke and performers and nowhere in Spain beats it and I have been to almost all the tourist towns in Spain and the islands.
If I want something more traditional Spanish there is always down at Finestrat and poniente beach or villajoysa etc.

Do the streets especially new town ever get cleaned/jetwashed much nowadays as I was over there beginning of June noticed myself a lot of litter in parts. Hope it gets spruced up when I go back in May next year for 11 nights.
been loads of times always stop at the hotel marina ... nice and clean , decent food , in the heart of everything yet on a nightime despite been really close to the square is surprisingly quiet for its location
Been here almost 2 weeks now and still haven’t been to the indoor market. Didn’t realise it was that big. Guess we are going today.
Can you recommend a place for my friends late 50s for somewhere to stay not to noisy though just for a long weekend not far from the shops and bars though like walking distance but not to far pls somewhere nice and cheap cause they will eat out ??

Very well done video. I was in Benidorm back in 1987 and I remember a pub called the Knights Inn. I believe it was in the old town. Is it still there? They had a coffin there and it was a great time. Thanks
It got burnt down by the Spanish locals in 1990 or 91 ish.

There’s lots of places to change money for the best rate but the indoor market is an easy place to navigate to. Don’t change your money in hotels, they always give a terrible rate.

Ok here's what is wrong with Benidorm, an amazing singer like you with a small crowd and yet places with awful entertainment are packed. We loved your show in the palladium and wish you every success, if you don't become a massive star then something is wrong.
Have friends in San Juan near Alicante which is a beautiful part of the Costa Blanca , I thought I’d have a drive to Benidorm and honestly I couldn’t wait to leave the place and never thought my car could accelerate so fast! . The place is the ass end of hell with a variety of football top wearing dickheads , overweight loud drunk morons causing most Spanish locals to just laugh and take pity on the Brits that visit this place all year round.
Go to Spain learn the language and go and explore the country and stay away from Benidorm , if you want to get pissed and be an embarrassment just do it at home and save face abroad!!!

Its right to start of Levante Beach next to Mcdonalds/Subway you cannot miss it. Went to Benidorm alone for first time end of May this year stayed at Servigroup Rialto further up from where you are staying. Will be going back end of May next year for 11 nights this time at Servigroup Venus right behind strip. Sure you will love Benidorm as to me its absolutely Mint.

Loved you on Benidorm mate. Those ATMs are the devil, I've lived between Cyprus and the UK a lot of my life and they randomly started popping up during Summer 2019 in Cyprus too, they are terrible do NOT use them they are a rip off. You can usually find local banks that will let you take cash out for free even with a UK or International bank account
