I can tell you right off the back what company this is 😂😂😂 The company is called Amyway for any people wondering. They have a ‘mentorship’ program which is called Ledership Team Development or LTD which is what’s talked about in the video. Like everything he said in the video from the info sessions to the sitting down at a coffee shop (Panera for me) is completely accurate. You have to buy a membership card for both LTD and Amway which are $35 and $180 respectively. They try to get you to go to there summits and stuff which the ticket for that is $130-$140.
Oh my god. This sounds exactly like what my friend got sucked into. I always told her that it was a scam. But she wouldn’t listen. She saved up lots of money and literally paid them and never made a cent. It was horrible. And she was always at “meetings” and could never hang out. Totally brainwashed. How sad
Yes, you are right. A lot of pyramid schemes are posing as legitimate MLM companies. There are a few differences that can help you sort them into the right hat, so to speak. It costs quite a lot of money to join a pyramid. That is how they make most of, or even all, of their money. Products, if there even are any, are over-priced, often grossly so. The main business idea is to charge people hefty sums for joining, not necessarily to sell a lot of products. People get paid a good-size commission out of the join-up fees their friends pay. Opportunity presentations tend to be very, very tempting, who'd say no to more money and more time off? (If you don`t mind scamming your friends) Legitimate MLM-companies charge a small fee to join, or it can even be free. The company pays commissions only for real turnover, in other words, instead of paying for advertising in order to create sales, they pay the people who either buy their own, and/or sell their products, and/or recruit others and thus create indirect sales. Often their business presentations may seem shoddy in comparison to that of a pyramid scheme. Remember, a real MLM company wants to sell products, and their products have to be of a quality to create repeat purchases. They do not need the super slick presentations. So to sum up: A. Expensive to join? Leave running! B.No products or something that is clearly there to "pose as a product range"? Leave. Now! C. Overpriced? Haven't you left already!
you can't profit from a pyramid scheme. it won't last a month before legal actions are taken. If you realize, legit companies like Herbalife or Amway or even Nuskin. They've benefited hundred thousands of people. Every person who truely understood the essence of the business has been able to built themselves up to become the best person they dreamt to be. My mentor was my role model and i haven't thanked him enough for his teachings and his kindness.
@@lokgarrick People get really on the defensive when they hear about a network marketing business because only a few people succeed... but in reality, MLMs are not that different from life in general ( just look at the banks, the federal reserve, and big pharma corporations! only a few thrive while a majority drowns.) I joined a couple of MLMs, Herbalife was one of them, and honestlly, I was legit: the guy who introduced me was aprofessional who told me it was just like a sales jb, and it would be super hard to make it without working. Today the dude is making enough money to offer a summer retreat to his parents every summer. In my case, I like the product but didn't like to sell it, wasn't my thing, so I didn't make any profit! Nowadays, I make a living doing something I love which is being a consultant. MORAL OF STORY: Think for yourself and do what you love. An MLM is not NECESSARILY BAD or WRONG, but like with anything else in life, don't believe the "get rich quick" lie.
@@isntitgreatthatgoogleplusa991 not much. just spent some daily needs, that if not from mlm shops, would've spent on other places. As well as in the education system that is way cheaper than a college degree. you're not wrong. People lose money everywhere. Investments lose money, businesses lose money. Usually its what you can accept that makes you successful. My intention is not to win an argument against you. What i do, is to open up people's perspectives on the thing you call "risk". Risk isn't necessarily bad. Rather, it is something that builds up your character. Probably confidence, maybe courage. But all in well, we shouldn't shrink our dreams to match our income.
he did scam them though, he got them to offer him a book they ordinarily charge 100 dollars to buy for free. and then he didn't buy the 200 dollar website. i;d say that's a pretty accurate title.
@@ObamanableSnowman Exactly if he didn't take the book, he only had the promise of a scam. Video was funny still, but the title is 100% click bait and we are the ones who got scammed...
I can look back at this video and laugh at it now. Ironically, when this video first was uploaded to TH-cam it was literally the day after I quit being in Amway/LTD. Even though he never said the name of the pyramid it's obvious that it is indeed Amway. He didn't really scam them though just wasted some of their time.
This happened to me at a vulnerable point in my life, as I was in the middle of a career transition. I came across a man at a random networking event who took an interest in me and kept asking me to stop by his office. I went in for an "interview" at the office space and the pitch was something akin to this-lifestyle, work at your own discretion, but no discernible business model or product being sold. I was introduced to maybe 15 people-all of whom helped during this "presentation" for solely me. Weirdest thing, shaking hands with a room full of people in on a scam. I wasn't sure if any or all of them were either completely brainwashed or so morally loose as to try to hustle a 21 year old. The man continued to email invitations over the next few months, until I put him in the spam bin. Scams are bizarre and all over the place. If it doesn't smell right, it probably isn't. It's like an underground of illegitimate business...avoid at all costs.
You know what it reminds me of, sounds exactly like any of those companies who sell timeshares and hotels and resorts. "Just sit though this 2 hour presentation and you get $100." Now, usually you can get the cash, but enduring all that hard sell is horrible.
The delivery so far is great. Also, "I was 26, living in New York City...and sitting in my apartment responding to vague Facebook messages looking for a way to make money [shows multi-million dollar apartment unit]" Sure, dude. We all know you were living at the Y and eating ramen. 🙄
I've had my experience with MLM's, too. His story is basically what I experienced. Don't fall for the buzz words like "diamond level" or "level" or "you've got something special about you."

MLM is literally a pyramid scheme. And ALL MLM's are pyramid schemes, even if they are technically legal.
Corporate is also shaped like a triangle
I can tell you right off the back what company this is 😂😂😂
The company is called Amyway for any people wondering.
You got caught in the scheme?
@@Orange-xe4ib Almost they started asking for a lot of money
Navy suits remind me of a different group under Amway. I got drug into a session one time and was super pressured didn’t like it. I was only 18.
They even scammed your high school buddy and you didn’t even expose the company 👏 what a hero
Sounds like the company is Amway
Thankfully I checked the comment section before spending time watching the video.
Can't relate unfortunately, knew I shouldn't have give buzzfeed a chance-_-.
Unfortunately for me I wasted 8 mins and 56 seconds of my life. I'll remember to check the comments first from now on. Cheers for the tip 😉
Joke's on me for watching a Buzzfeed video. I should have known. Clickbait indeed.
It was a nice vídeo. You missed the opportunity of being scammed
wish I had done that
(If you don`t mind scamming your friends)
Legitimate MLM-companies charge a small fee to join, or it can even be free.
Prepare for all the hunbots to come out defending their “business.”
"Hunbots" 😂😂😂 that's fantastic
So it's Scientology but with products that actually are potentially useful.
Yep
But most products from companies like this are terrible.
A pyramid scheme can be very profitable... If you have no morals
you can't profit from a pyramid scheme. it won't last a month before legal actions are taken.
@@lokgarrick People get really on the defensive when they hear about a network marketing business because only a few people succeed... but in reality, MLMs are not that different from life in general ( just look at the banks, the federal reserve, and big pharma corporations! only a few thrive while a majority drowns.)
I joined a couple of MLMs, Herbalife was one of them, and honestlly, I was legit: the guy who introduced me was aprofessional who told me it was just like a sales jb, and it would be super hard to make it without working. Today the dude is making enough money to offer a summer retreat to his parents every summer. In my case, I like the product but didn't like to sell it, wasn't my thing, so I didn't make any profit!
Nowadays, I make a living doing something I love which is being a consultant.
MORAL OF STORY:
Think for yourself and do what you love.
An MLM is not NECESSARILY BAD or WRONG, but like with anything else in life, don't believe the "get rich quick" lie.
@@lokgarrick how much money have you lost?
@@lokgarrick You sound like someone in a Pyramid Scheme. Ha!
You scammed the viewers with your false title
he did scam them though, he got them to offer him a book they ordinarily charge 100 dollars to buy for free. and then he didn't buy the 200 dollar website. i;d say that's a pretty accurate title.
Yurp
@@ristonalaimo5048 that's not a scammer he never took the books or websitw
@@ObamanableSnowman Exactly if he didn't take the book, he only had the promise of a scam. Video was funny still, but the title is 100% click bait and we are the ones who got scammed...
@@ristonalaimo5048 thats not a scam, thats just borrowing book, have you went to library in your lifetime?
holy heck, ladies and gentlemen he scammed a scam, call in the FBI, all special units, he’s a mad lad!
"With a bunch of bad decisions on my part." 😂 I love his honesty lmao
the like dislike ratio is *_BALANCED_*
CoolTesis like everything should be
True
Did you mean SKIMMED? You saw what it was about, and left? You just skimmed it?
lol +10 internet points and around of applause for this comment.
cmon man you really didn't do anything the title said you did, did you?
He thinks he’s so funny
Aiden Mejia he’s pretty funny
I've had my experience with MLM's, too. His story is basically what I experienced. Don't fall for the buzz words like "diamond level" or "level" or "you've got something special about you."
LOL this video is about Amway
Lol sounds like Primerica too😂
R Torontonion of aka
Or Herbalife. Actually, they're all so similar the video could be about any of them.
Could be about vector. Or like 3 other ones I forgot about
I know lmao the moment I heard "Hes at Diamond lv" I laughed
Are you talking about Amway?
I don't think so. 😊
I think so, it sure sounds like Amway. I would know since I recently quit being an IBO with them ironically LOL.
Sounds just like amway , my boyfriend just escaped from that cult
I was scanning the comments to see if anyone would know lol
I think its Amway 100% by the way the fee is $500
i think its market america
It's called multi-level marketing, or a pyramid scheme. An example is Amway or Landmark Worldwide, formally Landmark Education.
iraqidolphin1 my mom used to do this with Amway because her friends did smh...
This is a mix between a high school slam poetry event and a middle school stand up comedy night
