The old bunker you described are the remains of an artillery battery that was built there in WW2 to guard the Cairns harbour. There were barracks, an observation post further up the hill, kitchens, toilet blocks etc for the soldiers.
Love the content Brother. Really appreciate your guide to Cairns Southern spots. Visiting Cairns for a few days...will try out yr Southern spots...Thank You
Great Documentary - I know a guy who lives near where you last parked your car and he catches crays along that rocky foreshore - keep up the good work - Sincerely Appreciated Cheers Bill
Happy new year from new Zealand I can't wait for the northern end video As we spend abit Of time Up that way.weve been to Cairns four times now and I would love to catch some different species.im a lure junkie could you suggest a few different lures that might help
@@buzzythaosadventures7580 Not all of them but a fair few. I am waiting for the rain to drop to hit False Cape so for now, stuck at the Northern Beaches and the wharfs.
They stopped and left false point because a boulder came loose off the side of the mountain and crushed and killed an excavator driver while leveling land to build a massive Resort, further investigation deemed the land dangerous and unstable for development.. the land was given back to the original people of the land from Yarrabah.. there is a lot of unmarked grave sites thru that place so be careful going in there as some locals don't like visitors..
Hey Buzzy, was there a sign up near the coconut shipyard saying that dirt track is off limits (for indigenous use only)? I last tried going there about 2 years ago and access was denied. Would like to go there again if legal!!
Hey buzzy great video I was think of going cast netting at the cairns esplanade do you think there has been enough rain to do it or should i wait a bit longer
