- Hi all, in this video we are showing you how we attempted to fix the usual 'No Disc' error of an old Philips DVD player. Using the same method, you can also revive your old CD/DVD players and enjoy your CD/DVD collection again.

It solved my problem!!! How could I imagine that a slight tightening of those two small potentiometers would solve the problem. What is the technical explanation when tightening these potentiometers? Thank You. Congrats
I think it increases the power of the laser. These lasers loose their strength a bit with time so it needs adjusting. I'm glad you were able to solve the problem you faced. Cheers!!

I thought they were for tracking and focus servos as older CD player have those adjustments, but not sure about DVD's.

Mere pass kucch vcd hai aur wo unopened thi ,usko khola jo inner sleeve se chipki huyi thi aur impressions tge,us dvd ko clean karke play kiya to wo atak jat hai.Please batsiye ki kya karna hoga.
Ek baar isopropyl alcohol ko cotton swab pe lagake cd clean karne ka try kijiye

Lens pe dhool hogi ya lens ka laser weak hua hoga. Ya to lens clean karke dekhiye ya fir iss video me dikhaya hai waisa potentiometer tune karke dekhiye.

Try both ways, first clockwise in small intervals, then anticlockwise
